i understand the complaint somewhat............but the game is played on the field.......the umpires are chosen by the tssaa.........and home team is determined by a coin flip or seeding.................if bartlett brings the same type of team that they have brought the last few years the "home field advantage" won't be a disadvantage for them................best wishes to all teams

yeah those coaches have the best view in the house on balls and strikes..........and they are so impartial in their judgement................give me a break my point is there are plenty of folks who like you can tell an ump how to do their job but either have never done it or couldn't take the heat when they did.............. i am not nor have i ever been a tssaa ump but i have seen their work and i think for the most part they do an admirable job........... one thing umpiring is not about is "pleasing the fans, coaches or players"...... what i get sick of is every year on the T there is at least one thread that talks about how horrible the umpiring is this year and that is really uncalled for...................of course that is my opinion and i will stand on it..........just as you have yours

the inconsistency could come from the fact that guys who think umpires make great money and should be grateful that they are allowed to be criticized unmercifully by ignorant and unqualified individuals generally stay in the stands and post harsh criticizms on coach t instead of joining an association and showing us all how to do it

great baseball game............both pitchers really brought their a games tonight..........difference in the game was that cleveland executed small ball almost to perfection and oakland didn't.............congrats to cleveland

watched coffee county play beech and smyrna both and each of them play good baseball.............imho when they play head to head it would be fun to be there...........thanks to the folks at beech for their hospitality this weekend

agreed...................consistency there and on defense hurt often last year.............i believe both areas are improved this year. good weekend at oakland for the most part..............lost 1 0 to oakland ........tied gallatin 4 4 and beat page 4 2........ thanks to the folks at oakland for their hospitality!..........you have a very nice facility

Coach Jones having good coaches to help will be very beneficial to the team.........We still have to prove how good we are on the field but I really like the makeup of this group.............Chase runs a good program, hard for me to believe anyone works harder at making their program first class than he does.

wow...........folks all over the state are witnessing just how much class some folks in coffee county have..............please if you support coffee county sports in any way or fashion let this thread die......it is an embarrasment to the school and the community.............

well said.............they also should set an example for how their players should handle adverse situations..........coaches, ad's, administrators and parents expect players to behave in an acceptable manner..........i don't think it is too much to ask for coaches to behave in an honorable and acceptable manner as well............that being said their is a difference in getting onto a player with the intention of getting the desired results out of said player and dogging players out because things are not going the way a coach expects...........coaches should be respected just as game officials should.........it's not too much to ask for a coach to respect his players as well though

too many classifications imho.........................bring back the ole Central Tennessee Conference............maybe throw in Warren Co instead of Columbia!

franklin co is unusually weak this year .........cookville is not as strong as they have been in the past........lincoln county is always at worst decent and usually much better than that.........coffee county is trying to become more than a doormat and have made strides in that direction, still have a ways to go before they can go into a season expecting to win the region........cumberland county experienced a horrible season after losing students to a new school and warren county could be much better than they are now........ as far as your region four teams with losing records-three 2-8 teams(not all those losses were to smyrna or riverdale) i do agree that TSSAA could divide regions (and in baseball districts) up a little more evenly as far as number of schools but you know what you have to do to win as far as the game, Coach T's strength of schedule for CC and Smyrna are even....CC at 4-6 will have to play perfect and Smyrna will have to play well below what they have all year in order for the Raiders to pull off an upset.... best wishes to the Raiders
