The standard set by your own posters defines this move as chicken though. I mean last year Marion didn't play and were thus called chickens. Pretty sure this is the same thing or maybe not. At least honestly they had a covid excuse. The Pirates just magically don't want to play on either a down year or an up Marion year? I don't live in the yesterdays personally and if you all did the series would have ended ages ago when someone took it too far. However it lasted till last year considering everything that had been said and done up until covid why wasn't it ended sooner considering your own argument of covered up wrongs?

#1 Would be hard for me to relent on as your fanbase stated that was a 25-30k gate type of game last year. Considering the rivalry, distance between the high schools and gate how can you consider it best to not be played realistically. It was even stated the last few days that most of the kids between the schools were friends. You say that however Marion beating Rhea Co. and Fayetteville should at the very least be enough to consider the possibility of a good game. Just remember if you were to go back and read most of your threads most people including myself thought everyone else was playing for 2nd behind the pirates in 1A. That obviously wasn't the case.

1) I firmly believe your coaches are terrified to play Marion this year. They aren't trying to hide it. 2) Discipline is part of the game. If you can't keep a kids antics in check, put one on the field that you can. 3) Several of Marion's fans, coaches, kids, parents were upset as well I would think. 4) I firmly believe that most of you did in fact play for that one game every season and when it was over then you focused on the rest of the season. Feel free to prove me wrong. 5) only paying forward what a few of your posters like to inject to the T community. Can't believe you would be so tore up about it. Wonder if Marion was upset last year. I will say you are one of the good ones from that end of the football spectrum. However it doesn't negate the fact that a few of your guys are like a cancer on here trying to ruin it for others.

I'll admit that, however how many on here condoned it? Every year its new drama from the same few tards. I personally believe everyone on the T knows who the select few are from your fan base that stirs it. If they are another Alcoa im not sure what benefit you would gain by playing a team like that. I wont pretend to know anything about Murphy so just speculating with that. The Marion game should be played. Its grown up adults who hold grudges are the reason it isn't being played. Long story short they don't want to get beat it would seem. It was stated here Marion was Yellow for not playing South Pitt. Now it can be easily stated that the Pitt staff are the Yellow culprits of the Chris Jones Era. I wouldn't have posted but after reading all the ignorant things said from alot of the Pitt fans about Marion it absolutely should be said . They stepped in it now they should wear it proudly. Pirates are scared to death and everyone knows it. Is this what happens after the coach meets up with his players and has done an assessment? Does he not have any faith in his team with what all the rent paying has seem to have brought in and kept in their area?

From everything I've heard over the years this man was a great one and dedicated to his players and team. I hope a better door opens for this coach.

This is the weakest playoff thread in 2A East Tn. I'm not on much, but when I do it's fun to read the banter from team to team. In other threads you have talk of chicken forfeits, kids getting DUI's, kids smoking weed and still getting to play, coaches assaulting players and it being ok, coaches sleeping with the student body, and talk of teams that shouldn't be on the same field as the opposing team. All of this being said just to point out the fact that someones feelings are obviously hurt over a little "I heard you wanted some of me talk" Sir, if your team gets their feelings in a knot as quick as you do this Friday will most likely become an intervention to see if maybe Hamptonites are maybe being weaned a little too early.

I dont agree or disagree with what hes said on this topic. I will say if coaches let words hurt them on a football forum they should be coaching checkers instead of a contact sport.
