You should go somewhere where someone cares about what Milan did two decades ago because now, Milan is just irrelevant; just like Scotts Hill.

Looking at the schedule, Lawrenceburg has played teams such as Summertown and Loretto and the way that the score looked, they barely hung on to beat them. Tullahoma all the way in this one.

What was stated on the Columbia thread last winter/spring was that it wasn’t so much Moore as it was Columbia dropping down from 6A to 5A. Still though, they did well and, you just have to wonder the reason that success has not been replicated this season?.?. That was a play on last years Giles/Alcoa thread lol

Sounds like what may be transpiring in the 1A/2A post down at Richland. Hate it for this/that program and am so glad we don’t have this problem. Even before the good times of late, I don’t ever remember anything like what is happening transpiring at Page! I think you pretty much hit the head on the nail regarding a thread that @GeneralForrest started also in the 1A/2A threads related to officiating.

That ^^^ is the problem with society as a whole. Am I correct in that the other reading is saying some (3-4) of the players left during the week and didn't practice but showed up for the game and the coach still let them play? I had read or thought they skipped the game to go on vacation. If they skipped practice, especially just to go on vacation, and the head football coach let them play, he needs to go because that kind of leadership will never work in team sports! He will never (ever) be allowed to let that live down as long as he coaches there. This is about as bad or worse than the situation going on at Columbia! I guess I could look on the database website but when has Richland been good? Not asking sarcastically; my team has been there! I just remember when we were not very good and were everyone's homecoming and I think Richland was ours a couple of times.

Said it was so bad that a major fight was just about to break out. Columbia's kids were done and looking to fight so, the refs called the game. Was stated in there the Columbia kids just left the field or the Giles kids stayed but said it looked like Columbia just walked off the field. Don't know if before or after the refs called it. We'll let @tradertwo fill us in on what the coaches next move is going to be. Who knows, he may be going to Scotts Hill. I'm with you. I don't think he knew or even had any idea of what he was walking into. I'm sure now he wishes he hadn't. But honestly, he topped out at Lewis County. I can understand the need to go someplace where he thought he could advance further. Regardless, that place is worse than Winchester a few years back and Marshall County a decade ago! I didn't even know that program was in such terrible shape. I did say that they needed to get parents out of the way, however. Also, I wonder why all or most of the assistant coaches left; if it was because of the situation or if it was truly advantageous coaching opportunities? Moving down last year from 6A to 5A really helped them and I'm sure Sharp was counting on that to be beneficial.

Yeah, Richland has no identity. Started off a feel good story for them but I had a feeling they would taper off after Mt. Pleasant. Aren’t they good in basketball?

To counter your point(s), five of our opponents that we have already played thus far this season have winning records. It’s not like we look to schedule 1A 1-9 Collinwood or 1A 4-7 Waynesboro (who won the last time they played Hohenwald). We have consistently played quality competition.

We were. We had a good plan and it did work! It was just that we had not been tested like this all season. Good for us to play this type game. Wish we would have come out on the other end.

My thoughts are that both us and Nolensville were ranked about right. Obviously, one could have swapped us in the rankings but we saw two top 5A teams go at it last night! Playoffs are going to be interesting. Difficult to beat a good team twice!

This represents a serious lack of program buy in! If coach doesn’t send a message by holding those out for skipping the game to go on vacation, he will never be successful. If administration doesn’t back him against the parents for doing so, they deserve what happens the rest of the season and subsequent years! This is just bad!

Woah, Coach bringing up an old thread! If anyone is curious, Hohenwald has only played one team this year with a winning record. And, got beat by them.

Hope I’m wrong and our neighbors to the south don’t fade away. Still some football to play yet. Again, very much hope I’m wrong about them. Seems Cascade was hot at the beginning of last year. Did Richland have a lot of players out? Saving for region games?

This was one of the best, not just high school but one of the best football games I have seen in a very, very long time! Though we were on the short side of the stick, it was nerve wrecking the entire game. Game plan was good and we were physical! Nolensville has the most talent by far that we have seen all year. This game will definitely help us come playoff time!
