Oh, lol, this makes it even better!!! So, Unionville plays football now? In 3A? Lol no wonder Hohenwald scheduled them!

I just now found out; let me get this straight. Community is Unionville? I mean, the same school that was basketball only; the same school that back in the 80’s and 90’s had one goal that was ten feet and at the other end, the goal was nine feet? This is who Lewis County played???? Really? No joke? Hohenwald played Unionville? And, in football?? And, felt good about winning? Holy smokes, tell me I am not right on this?? Was this a region game? If this is correct, there is absolutely nothing more I can do to display #regularseasonpaperchampions! Well, except have Hohenwald put in a 2A region with Redboiling Springs, Richland, Culleoka and Santa Fe. Do those last two even have football? Lol This is so Lewis County!

Top five in 5A, what you got?

In a renewal of old single A football of four decades ago when Lewis County played in single A, Hohenwald travels to Spring Hill, who is now 5A. Obviously, this isn’t Orlando “Papa” Wade Spring Hill football but how does this game match up? Spring Hill hasn’t really been much, if anything for decades now. Lewis County routinely dominates their regions in 2A and is a perennially region champion and playoff team. Does their decimation of that East Hickman power house intimidate the much larger school? Will Spring Hill even show up? Is Lewis County trying to prove their value by scheduling 5A teams? Who wins this matchup featuring a former State Champion versus the always dominant but early round playoff losers?

Welp, after the win against powerhouse East Hickman, the Lewis County putty tats are not in a down year after-all. This win should bring them back into the top ten and on their way to another regular season paper championship!

They are not shabby, at all. They gave us a run and we are a top five 5A program right now.

Somebody explain this to me.. How can a perennial top ten, and when I say perennial, I mean year in and year out regular season top 10 ranking, of a 2A program get not just blown out; not just drummed but absolutely shellacked AT HOME by a 1A program? Not just a typical 1A program but a relative up start that has only been around a few years. #regularseasonpaperchampions

Sorry you guys are having a “down year”. Every dog has its day so if it makes you feel better, we have a number five ranking this week. You can claim how you have about a 50% win rate against a top five 5A program. We wont tell anybody that was actually when (enrollment) numbers were similar.

I see Lewis County has a few votes to keep them just outside the top 10. If they produce a win (over a relative nobody) this week, will the voters place them back into the top 10 for the state? Gotta keep that active streak of regular season paper championships running! In all reality though, does anyone know when Lewis County has played teams ranked in the top 10 during the regular season? Has Columbia Academy or Chapel Hill or Riverside been ranked during the past few/several years when Lewis County played them, in the regular season?

How far and long is that drive from Fayetteville to Hohenwald?

I think we got better between week one and two but right now, I don’t think we are where we can be. Though good, the first two outings were not against what we have lined up coming down the track! it just seems, for us, and I’m glad too, but the region is relatively weak this year.

An East Hickman team that has been in existence for about a decade and a half with only two winning seasons rolls into Hohenwald. Will the Panthers bounce back from their beatdown from a 1A school for a region win or is this truly a “down” year and East Hickman comes away with a W building their third winning season? The Lewis County fans have been quiet as of late. Will they engage on CoachT this week?

When GC won the state all those years ago, they did so in 4A I believe. Since everyone knows 3A runs through Alcoa and Covington, why did GC decide to play in 3A instead of 4A? I understand the classification but Alcoa would win 3,5 and probably 5A.

I Guarantee you that when this series is over, it will never be with Lewis County! I am curious, however, when this series was scheduled-how far ago. I am willing to bet it was when the school first came into existence! Just so it’s known, L.C. Is a top 2A team on paper only. You guys helped prove that last evening.

Where did all the Lewis County posters go? Used to be as soon as the game was over if they won, the L.C. bunch would jump on the phones and call the score in to all of the T.V. stations in Nashville. But, when they lost, you wouldn’t hear a thing about it till the next evening. I guess this is gonna be one of those Friday nights! 2-0 28-0

I don’t know much about those West Tennessee teams but I have heard/do remember about Milan. SEEMs they were good and maybe even played in clinic Bowl back in the 80’s.

Here you are talking about the old "days". What about the "days" back in the 70's and 80's when Lewis County was in Single A and only made it to the third round ONE TIME; IN SINGLE A! Even in the 90's when y'all were AA you were still scheduling those little ole single A schools!! Gotta get that regular season paper championship. Looking back for decades, y'all played teams like Collinwood, Richland, Wayne County (only when you knew they were going to be down though/according to a poster on here year before last), Adamsville and some single A school from West Tennessee called Hollow Rock, and couldn't beat them! My guess is y'all scheduled this game against Fayetteville a few years ago when they first opened the school not thinking they were going to be much for several years, or longer! Amirite??? This is too funny! Thought you were going to pick up an easy W to inflate the schedule and it has turned around and bit you in the butt! Trying to pick on these little ole single A schools, especially when you think they are going to be down. Big bad Lewis County is finna get ROCKED by a 1A team!

Let's focus on the game, I mean, the loss you are going to have tonight after finally having to face competition during the regular season. I do need to point out that you guys are 2A and are actually playing against a 1A school!

@ladyvol31 You just have to ignore him and the other Lewis County clan. They are after me for consistently keeping them in their place. Do not take what I said lightly. Fairview has a very good team and will do well this year! I think this weeks rankings reflect this. On a side/personal note, I did notice one of the DL for y'all was a head buster! That kid went after it every single play! Good luck the rest of the season!
