  1. This makes 2 years in a row that Tullahoma has to make this long trip to Lawrence County, due to both teams changing regions and that is just how it worked out I assume….I have Tullahoma winning this game. Does anyone have any thoughts on this game?
  2. First of all Central has a good coached defense, I underestimated them….Central is just undersized on the offensive side of the ball. Pearl is six games away, and both teams have to make it that far….they lost that game and lost home field advantage so we shall see if they meet again.
  3. This is the first meeting of these two schools. Weather is perfect can’t wait for 7pm!
  4. if I was trying to be rude I would have posted my comments in the PC/MC thread or the PC/Tullahoma thread; but, I was not…No one had posted, so I thought if I pointed out how Tullahoma gots it’s ranking, by beating 2 good teams, and that Montgomery Central is ranked 7th without beating any ranked teams it would stir up conversations with Montgomery Central fans. They could explain why they believe this will be a close game.
  5. The Tennessee AP top 10 for each division came out Monday, 4 region 5 teams are listed in the top 10 for 4A. This is Tullahoma’s 3rd home game and it will be Tullahoma’s 3rd home opponent that is ranked in the top 10. Tullahoma (ranked 2) has already beaten Marshall County (ranked 8) 28-20 and Pearl Cohn (ranked 5) 24-21. Montgomery Central (MC) is ranked 7th and brings a 7 game win streak to Tullahoma. I believe MC has been playing really good football during their 50th anniversary; but, I don’t believe they have played a team as talented as Tullahoma this year. I believe Tullahoma wins this one 45-7 and ends Montgomery Central’s undefeated season.
  6. Montgomery Central brings its 7-0 record to Wilkins Stadium to take on 6-0 Tullahoma. This is the third straight home game for Tullahoma to host an undefeated team. Tullahoma was able to defeat MC and PC in the first 2 games. Montgomery Central has yet to play either of those teams. Tullahoma has to remain focused as Montgomery Central would love to prove they are a legit 5-4A contender. Tullahoma has some players nursing injuries; but, they should still win this game. What are your thoughts on this matchup of undefeated teams?
  7. Tullahoma takes its 5-0 record and travels to 0-6 Hillwood this Friday night. Hillwood had made the playoffs the past few years; but has struggled this year, any ideas why? Tullahoma will need to remain focused and not overlook Hillwood; because, Hillwood would love nothing more than to play spoiler.
  8. I believe semifinals back in 1987….they have made it to the quarterfinals 2 out of last 3 years. I too believe they are a legitimate contender!
  9. This is a thread from last week, Tullahoma beat PC 24-21.
  10. With 3 teams sitting undefeated in Region 5, Montgomery Central, Pearl Cohn, and Tullahoma, this game means that at best there will only be 2 undefeated teams left. Montgomery Central, has Marshall County, Pearl Cohn, and Tullahoma still to play. In my opinion, tonight’s winner is set up nicely to go undefeated this season….I am not throwing shade on any other Region 5 teams, because I am a firm believer that anyone can loose on any given night. Looking forward to what I hope is a great game!
  11. Good local food spots Touchdown Wings or London’s….Chains include Buffalo Wild Wings, Chick-fil-A, Sonic, Red Lobster, Ruby Tuesday’s, Applebees, etc basically the normal spots…. Gondola is locally owned if you like Pizza and spaghetti. No talk on this big game beside me and you, guess everyone else is to nervous….I can’t wait until game time!!!
  12. Cane Ridge is 82nd in the state, below 2 of Tullahoma’s previous opponents, Shelbyville and Marshall County. I would agree that MBA is probably a good team based on their # 11 ranking. It’s also a fact that Tullahoma has never beat Pearl Cohn. I believe that streak ends this year. The good news is that we can have fun all week long debating who is the better team, because they are both playing well and undefeated. I believe it will be a very competitive game.
  13. The winner of this game probably goes on to win region 5. Both teams are coming off relatively easy wins. This should be a very physical game and with both offensives being very good at scoring points it’s going to come down to defense. Tullahoma’s defense continues to impress me, but this will be their biggest test of the season with PC’s speedy players. Tullahoma is the best team PC has played this season, so how will PC’s defense perform against a spread offense, that can run and pass the ball. This may come down to the fact that it’s a home game for Tullahoma, hopefully a big rowdy crowd, and most definitely a loud band, I predict Tullahoma gets past PC in a very tight game 30-28.
  14. The message boards seem quiet so far this year…. I have watched a few videos of CW and they are a physical ball team; but, I do believe Tullahoma will be to much for them, similar to MC and PC. I believe the final score will be in Tullahoma’s favor 28-7.
  15. The preseason projections had Creek Wood as one of the top 4 teams in this region . So far Creek Wood has not been able to get anything offensively going against Marshall County or Pearl Cohn. Did anyone watch the game on MyTV 30 Friday night, was it closer than the final score? Does anyone think this will be a close game?
  16. MC responded when the opportunity was given like any good team should do! Tullahoma changed the defense to a zone/prevent when they went up 21-0 with 9 minutes to go and MC took control of the game….I am not sure why MC choose a pooch kick after they scored their second touchdown, because that was just to easy of a ball to catch. Oh well, very good chance they meet again and MC quarterback will do nothing but improve over the next 8 weeks.
  17. Everyone just playing safe, and not speaking their opinion, lol.
  18. While Tullahoma’s defense is not as disruptive as they were last year at this point in the season, they held Shelbyville to 14, just like MC, and the Tullahoma’s starters did not allow CC to score. MC did blank Creekwood this past week; but, it appears that Creekwood is not very good(only win against Dickson) and I expect PC to boat race them this weekend. Tullahoma’s offense is good again this year. So Tullahoma wins a hard fought game 38 to 21.
  19. What a way to start Region 5 play for Tullahoma. MC is 3-0 while Tullahoma is 2-0. Assuming the stats are correct, Tullahoma has more yards per game then MC, and averages more points per game. What do you guys think about this big Friday night contest?
  20. Tullahoma beat Shelbyville Thursday and Coffee County downed Franklin County Friday night. So what are your thoughts on this 4A versus 6A matchup?
  21. With the rain and a soggy field I think the advantage goes to Tullahoma…use that big fast offensive line and run the ball. The last few years Tullahoma’s defense has chased Shelbyville’s quarterback all over the field preventing him from sitting in the pocket and hitting their skilled receivers. So if Tullahoma pounds the ball and can cause havoc in Shelbyville’s backfield, Tullahoma wins 35 to 20.
