DB gives up more penalty yards each game than does their defense.if they quit hitting out of bounds and stop the mouthy trash talk after the whistle they could cut penalties in half. I watched the fourth quarter of Maryville and Alcoa play and Maryville never threw the ball. It was an all ground game. Don’t know if DB can keep from killing their gains with blocks in the back and holds but I’m hoping . These boys have been playing each other for years. I’m anxious to see see a clean hard played contest. Let’s represent Region 1 Big 7 conference with pride and character.

I think this i a biased selection process. i keep watcing for a data based process. i cant help but feel it is cligue driven. i challenge the AAA

I’ve got a question as to what criteria is used to select the finalists. In the AAA classification, who is the leading scorer for points per game? Rebounds per game? Field goals made? Double doubles? What is the GPA of the finalists. Just looking to understand the criteria. Looking for understanding that right now I don’t have. Thanks

IMO The best AAA player in the State got snubbed and I’m not alone in my thinking. She leads the state in most every major category.

Whitson is the answer to the AAA Ciassification Miss Basketball selection! She dominates evevry stat classification. Scoring, rebounds field goals made, percentage of three point goals made and double doubles. Check it out. Way to go Courtney Whitson. She became the all time leading scorer, boy and girls, in the 100 year story of the school. On 1/31/19 with 2234. New record with each point scored . Also holds the all time rebounding record, boys or girls, with over 1375 to date.

Courtney Whitson is the real deal. 52%for 2 pt goals,43% for threes and 77% for free throws. Most of the time she is double and triple teamed.
