I’m excited about the matchup with Greenback. I remember some good battles between Meigs and Greenback in baseball back when Meigs was single A. We need to focus on Sweetwater though!! I believe we will win, but we don’t need to look ahead.

One of McMinns best returning players from last year is not there anymore. Was a good LB. Have heard they have had hard time replacing him. That should help the Davis run game in my opinion

Agree here. Marina is probably the best eat in Meigs, just not really considered in town so I didn’t mention it.

Meigs will still be a strong team. The backup QB this year is a good player and just a Soph. Starting RB this year will be back. Couple strong lineman will be back. We will know more after this year about our team for the future. I have heard the middle school has to solid football players. We will fall off some, but we are still going to be a good team. As for the classification, I think we stay 2A. Meigs just graduated one of its largest classes ever in 2019, so if we move up to 3A, it won’t be because we have gained kids.

Family Diner and La Hacienda are both right next to the school and very good. We got a subway, McDonalds, and Hardee’s near the school as well, but that’s about it. The Diner and Hacienda are Decatur's finest though

Listen buddy. Firstly, I didn’t make the statement that: “walker Valley is definitely going to beat etowah.” I stated that if WV loses, it’s going to be a LONG year for them in 5a. So I am more right, saying that WV is in for a long year, than I am wrong. Secondly, Derrick Davis is a good ball coach, but he is not going to magically make this team into a region contender. You speak of these “horses” that etowah has. Where are they? Your football team won 1 (!!!) game last year. Are these “horses” coming from other sports? If so, the basketball team wasn’t as good as it normally is last year, and did your baseball team even win a game last year? I just want to provide a dose of reality for you fine folks talking like a region title is on the way.

I was at the scrimmage. Yeah, it wasn’t exactly our best showing, but I’m not really too worried about it. Fitzgerald and the staff will get them eager to improve. Nothing to be worried about Tiger Faithful, we still have the best player in 2a. Ready for the season.

No, they will still be down. Better than last year? Definitely. Being considered “strong” means having the ability to get to the playoffs and actually win a game. Etowah does not have that potential this year.

I’m sorry for being so naive, but who exactly are these “horses” you speak of? Jalen Hunt is the only workhorse that resides in mcminn county that I know of, and he doesn’t attend etowah.

Meigs is top notch all the way from the director of schools to the janitors at each school. Looking forward to the season.

This region is about like the Patriots in the AFC East. Meigs has steamrolled through the past years, and we don’t seem to be slowing down.

So it’ll be a long year for them playing in 5A against Soddy and Rhea. Lil ole etowah shouldn’t have the horses to compete, but I guess some big schools just don’t have the stallions like most do

Montana Lowe - Meigs Co. dline was a beast last year in his first year starting. Should be a leader as a senior Gage Gardner - Meigs Co. oline been the center past two years and I think I’ve maybe seen one bad snap. Mauler
