  1. Farragut lost to Arlington 6-3. Not a good day for East Tennessee in day 1.
  2. Ouch, have to get day 1. Tough road ahead for sure.
  3. She's a solid pitcher for sure. They go as she goes and if she can get run support they can make a run.
  4. Made these predictions back in January, so I'll stay with my picks of winners. Should be a great week of games and upsets. A- Eagleville- solid team young team top to bottom, experience and advantage of winning it last year. Looks like it'll come down to Gordonsville and Eagleville... winner of that game should take it back home. AA- Alcoa- another young team with talent top to bottom. Both Alcoa and Eagleville are very similar in regards to team makeup. Best young coach in the game. AAA- Gibbs- Repeat of the last two- young experience a year older now, almost everyone back from last years runner-up. Most experienced coach in the game. AAAA- Farragut- Have the best player in the state. This team is not like the last two who beat you before you played as they've had to fight to survive, but still carry the experience of winning the last two.
  5. No doubt Plumlee can win games, which was why I had them in the original message as the darkhorse from months ago.
  6. They'll have their chance it seems. My prediction still holding of Alcoa repeating.
  7. Adjusted Does East Tennessee run away with it this year again. My predictions of the finals and darkhorse. I don't know too much about West Tennessee softball. A- Eagleville / Huntland - rematch of the two of the best pitchers in the state- Darkhorse is Gordonsville AA- Alcoa- returns most everyone / Forrest always strong not sure what they have - Darkhorse -Summertown AAA- Gibbs- returns most everyone, valuable experience last year being mostly underclassman / Lincoln Co. giving the benefit with Lexington losing key players - Darkhorse is Halls with talented soph. pitching duo AAAA- Farragut-lost starters but have depth and key starters back / Dobyns Bennett - best pitching staff in the state as Juniors - Darkhorse is Maryville/Morristown West
  8. I'm partial to Neyland Stadium now they put the party deck in as the best in the state.
  9. I don't trust you or know you, so need to pose anything other than a random fan. No need to end the debate, because it happened, they won. My character is one is honesty, if you can't say Joel was running the same scheme then that says more you letting it slide then it does of me calling it out.
  10. Nostalgic, but give me those teams with Red Davis Jr.
  11. I apologize on the timing of his arrival. He was there one year and is entering his Soph year of College, so adjust your feels to one less year. I'm not shaming his name, it doesn't make it ok because not here. He did what he did, if we want to discuss "don't even know what you're talking about".
  12. I heard it was because Littons went cheap on their burgers and got away from the home cut fries and opted for frozen boxed fries. What I find comical is a fan of Central upset about recruiting, when Joel was part of the system of implementing the game. Upset? You're still bringing up a kid from 3 years ago and his transfer to Powell. He'll be a Soph in college and you're still talking about his Junior Year of High School. Nolen and Powell living rent free!
  13. Rudy Stinson was a more athletic version of Walter.
  14. So you're still upset and all in the feels because Walter in his choosing to go "anywhere" chose Powell. Not just Walter but his brother too... the relationship with Walls, the recruitment of Tennessee at the time. The energy the Powell program had at the time... seems like he chose Powell for the same reasons some choose Catholic or Maryville from out of this area. Exposure, playing with other athletes and the connection to the coaches.
  15. Beat them continuously, not just once and think Bearden has arrived.
  16. Lowe was recruiting long before him and Jones got together. Not saying that Jones didn't do his part for the run to state with his Falcons kids, but Matt isn't new to this.
  17. It's starting to take shape, teams are hitting their stride and some are battling injuries trying to hold on.
  18. That's where the durable part came in. They'll have to do a good job of getting him the ball in space and avoid him having to win games up the middle.
  19. Conner Wheeler at Powell will have to carry more of offense, My only concern would be is he durable enough to carry the workload without Potts and that class.
  20. Boone is always tough, not surprised they are playing well. More surprised in what DB has done so far with what they have coming back in the circle.
  21. No doubt they are in the conversation with Plumlee. The other two will be led by pitchers who have been there.
  22. Does East Tennessee run away with it this year again. My predictions of the finals and darkhorse. I don't know too much about West Tennessee softball.
