  1. Seems like a great job for for the right guy
  2. Wonder who it will be? I mean a splash hire or someone who will come in and provide some stability and something to buy in to
  3. I think we may see a few first time head coaches happen this year. Some of the older heads that have been in it are getting out completely...It makes it tough, but It would make it exciting to see what some new bloods would be doing. I have seen some of the offensive schemes out there with some teams that arent really that talented put up big yards and big numbers. They may not have great win loss but you can see some things that make people look and say hmmmm. With talent some of these coaches could flourish!
  4. Any thoughts on more knoxville area jobs... Like anything that may just be one of those like..."its about time"
  5. There are some really good dudes that would pt in for that job that will not even get a look. I think the hire will be a big splash type hire!
  6. Wonder if Waggoner would pick up and move again. I mean that would be 5 schools in 5 years. He is a fantastic coach and heck of a guy! GP is a good place with all the money lol
  7. Oh man, I hate that. Ill check that article for sure. I think that if you get a guy in there maybe doesnt always have to have the HC tag as a pedigree, but an assistant that has seen some good programs and things like that would be a good hire. A guy who is in 30s who has done it long enough who can bring some juice to the school would be nice. GB has been a good place for sure for a long time...just need to make sure they either get their guy right or get the right guy
  8. I dont know...I mean they let go of their OC mid season and did nothing better. I mean the people of OR do NOT want this to last long.
  9. They were in a bad spot....Bolinger is a fantastic guy and had some good ways of trying to get the program in the right direction. I really think that they have to really have to get a guy in there to completely turn the program around. They will need a new staff. This is something that would be difficult for admin to be ok with but they are going to have to just let the new guy have some freedom. That means a staff! They have some good looking kids...but they also have a ton of kids (like most schools) that should be out but just wouldn't because of the coaching situation.
  10. Whats the deal there? What seems to be the problem. The hire was an awkward one to me...Great guy, but they struggled.
  11. I think you are correct....Rumors are Greenback, Lenoir City, Bearder, Heritage, Oak Ridge, Knox Grace..... and possibly Catholic. Now again we know how rumors are....
  12. Wonder if anything will be a big surprise when it comes to openings?
  13. So that time of year again… what jobs are we going to see pop open?
  14. So....its getting close to that time of year again. What starts the carousel of changes? So who do yall think is out and where?
  15. So getting closer to game day...what are some score predictions???
  16. Buddy of mine coaches at LC and said there are some really good ones...but the main ones that are hard to deal with are the Little League coaches. They and quite a few more talk about the coaches like dogs. They try to do it to the current high school players and bad mouth the coaches and its just a bad look. The other thing about the youth guys is that they are the ones to bash the coaches and players but when ask to come be an asst coach they shy away. My buddy said that one thing about them to is that there are expectations from certain people for them to be dominate, problem is they cant get more than 60 kids out at a school with over 1300 students. It seems to be a tough place to coach
  17. So looking at the lack of playing this year may be a huge factor...but LC has been struggling this year. They seem to have a ok skill guys ok O but their line has been bad. Defense it seems the opposite....their d line is good, and the LBs arent bad...especially those 2 inside, the rest of the group is suspect. I think that Robbinsville may come out fired up ready to go. I see them coming out taking a long drive and scoring. Then LC gets the ball scores fast and then seeing what happens. Really hoping to see a fun hard fought game. Really like to see LC pull this one out.
  18. Seems to be a beautiful place... They have had issues with games state wide. The Panthers are using offense to move around this season, seem to just struggle past couple of weeks getting the ball in the end zone. Watching them seems that they are not the most efficient when it comes to limiting penalties. They have averaged about 280 passing and around 65 on the ground. The other issue is they give up around 32 a game.
  19. Looks like the panthers are hosting an out of state opponent this week. Thoughts?
  20. I agree with what you posted, It looked like Lenoir City played a ton of guys and were plain on both sides. Maybe a tactic for jamboree. Loudon looked really good. Seems like they have good skill and depth. Meigs will be tough to handle, but I think that they have a great start, hopefully they have some depth to help them make another run. Central....may be able to score here or there but stopping people may be a huge issue. Polk seemed to be improved, just not many dudes to work with. Copper Basin was a surprise to me, they looked pretty good in the air, but they looked pretty good to me. Tellico is BIG. I think that they can win a few games. Sweetwater will be fine, they have to get some of the shakes out of their QB position. I would let that big back run run run. Sequoyah is the least likely to have success this year. Offensively looked basic and not well coached and D was even worse.
  21. The head coach there is the OC
  22. Hearing OC from Bradley, old OC from WEBB, OC from Midway, OC from Sequoyah, OC from Lenoir City
