  1. Well, considering there were 6 TD’s scored by 4 different kids, 2 kids having 2 TD’s each......YES they still win.
  2. Really didn’t expect anything less. Had heard some talk early on that SPitt and Meigs may merge???
  3. What is Tyner and Meigs looking like this season? Anybody know what expectations are for next change in classification and who might be expected to change that are currently in 4-2A?
  4. Funny, no dog in this hunt, just enjoy the game. However, agree w you on this point. Almost saw a TC fight unfold on here I think earlier. TC has nothing to be down about, second game for them. Everybody knows they will compete.
  5. Some truth. It isn’t just in the stands my friend. It runs rapant at every sq ft on Friday nights.
  6. Congrats to the Wtown ball club for the big win last night. Some heart shown especially in the second half. You could tell the kids believed and were feeling it in the second half even trailing 13-0. They need to find a way to play 4 qrtrs the same way. They did something not many thought they would. Penalties still seem to be an issue and the offensive play calling was again predictable, especially first half. The difference was the O line played better, still work to do, and they finally gave that Carter kid the rock. Now if they can figure out that #2 can help them as well offensively, this thing might take those boys on a good run this year. Using all the weapons and getting the ball to them all would help them alot. Defense as always underthe H man was solid, much better than before his time at H2Oville.
  7. H2O man may be close on prediction..... I might have said 28-14 TC. Wtown has a couple of really good backs and receivers who have less than 10 touches between them. Not sure what that is all about, but they have to figure that out. D will play well I think but it will be a matter of field position and how well we can hold off long sustained drives all night.
  8. The DC usually has the D ready but he has some young kids he is working with. This guy seems to be why Wtown has been been better the last few seasons. Before him the D was weak. Wtown O and D line is not as strong as last season from what footage and play I have seen. OC still hasn’t figured out how to use some skill he has. Still seems to be trying same same limited routine. Could prove costly both this season and next. Several good matchups across 2A this Friday. May be some surprises.
  9. Nolensville was not the 4A up and coming power they were touted to be. Great venue and good team but my understanding is that they have numbers to be even larger classification soon. Wtown lost 3 fumbles and had an INT. Points were scored on at least 2 of those. Defensively, Wtown held them to no first downs the first half. Wtown still needs better offensive drives and play calling put together for this game Friday night. Hope to see the Wtown and Hville boys play a tough game. It has most always been a good rivalry and good game.
  10. Correct score. Nville w 3-0 lead and no first downs in first half I think. Field goal set up by INT. First Poss second half Wtown did not handle a snap on 4th down and Nville got the ball inside the 10 and scored. They scored again with 1 minute left in game. Penalties improved. These teams were actually fairly evenly matched. Nville not the 4A team I thought they might be from the hype.
  11. Wtown giving This 4A team in Nville all they want. Few bad snaps and INT was difference in ballgame. The H2O boys definitely improved since first outing.
  12. Agree.....score could have been much different, but it wasn’t. Chances and offensive plays were not put together well. Also agree that across the board Wtown has more talent than last year, but the key is to use it all, not just a few parts of it. It is like having a sports car that “is capable” of going 210mph, but you never drive it over 55mph or never get out of 4th gear......why have it if you are not gonna use it?
  13. All good points. Line play must be better and team penalties must not be a factor for this to be a game. There is a reason only two have proven themselves. Other tools have got to be used to make this offense work against legit teams. Take that to the bank. Offensive game plan is lacking so far.
  14. Line play has to improve for Wtown and a couple more kids have to get in the offensive mix to compete. Your prediction may very well be close to accurate.
  15. Agree with you on that. Wtown must be better up front and more disciplined with less penalties. All this plus figure out how to use a couple more skill players that are not really in the mix yet.
  16. No Carter nor the Watts kid much at all. Would say no more than 3 touches each all night. Wtown has to figure out how to get them both in the mix. Both are run savvy and the Watts kid can sling it as well.
  17. Pretty much called it last week. Gotta have better discipline and that penalties would keep WTown from doing what they could be capable of. They need to figure out how to put offensive drives together using all the tools in the toolbox rather than just a few with the same plays and personnel. Penalty yardage embarrassing.
  18. Wtown will play Nolensville week 2 away. Bigger school with some good success for first 5 yrs in existence, so not sure how to size that up yet.
  19. New turf looks awesome. Once things get finished up on the perimeter, it will be a really nice venue.
  20. Discipline and staying healthy will be key for Wtown this season. Line play must be more disciplined than what has been shown so far on the O line. Penalties have to stay out of the equation to maintain control of what the purple will be capable of doing. More playmakers across this squad than in years past as a whole. Options at qb and a stable of horses to carry the rock and speedy feet at receiver as well. Gotta be able to throw downfield to keep D’s honest, but our line will be key to all of this.
