The 2020 team definitely had a lot of talent. I remember they basically crushed everyone in the regular season (including Nolensville for one half in the first game) and then found themselves in a dog fight in Game 2 with Nolensville. Nolensville had already pulled out some tight games so they truly believed that could do it against Tullahoma. Sometimes that's enough.

That 2020 game is probably the best high school game I've ever seen. Edge of your seat tension from start to finish.

Nolensville is my pick if they're healthy. But I don't see either team getting beyond Round 2. Both schools look like they're in rebuild mode.

This pick was on the $$$. Pretty even first half. FRA defense figured things out in the 2nd.

Page should be confident after grinding out 3 road wins. I would have picked West by 2 TDs a couple months ago. Still going with West but by 7 or less. Pulling for Page though.

Nolensville was fortunate to have Coach Will Hester at the start of its program. Hester won a championship at Ravenwood. He left Nolensville after a couple years for a private school in Alabama and is now in his second stint at Ravenwood. Coach Derrick was Hester's defensive coordinator and has been head coach since Hester left. Coaching experience and stability has kept the program moving upward. Nolensville's population explosion has also helped. I wouldn't expect them to stay in 5A long. The county may need another high school in the College Grove/Arrington area. Anyway, whenever this season ends it will sure be a downer for those boys. You don't get many seasons like this.

Brentwood only beat Franklin 7-0. Henry Co. lost to Brentwood. So.....

Knox West has been dominant all year and beat some very good teams. I don't think they'll have a hard time getting to Chattanooga and will be the heavy favorite there. If the west teams are only playing for silver, so be it. That still makes for a great season. But I don't think any of the west teams will go down easy.

Haha. Why not 2-0? Didn't think Page and Nolensville had been good at football long enough to inspire hatred. I guess they've arrived.

Nolensville 's chances certainly go up if Walton plays like he did Friday. Of course Page has a better secondary and a pass rush. Page's coach admitted in the last game they couldn't stop Fitzgerald. I suspect he'll be double-teamed most of the night and Northcutt and others will need to get open.

Might as well get a thread started. If there ever was a pick 'em game this has to be it. The first game was back and forth for 48 minutes with Page never getting more than one score ahead and losing in overtime. I'll go out on a limb and guess the winner of this game goes to Chattanooga. No disrespect to Henry Co. or Springfield - both excellent teams - just a hunch based on the solid lineups these teams have on each side of the ball.

46 carries for Dowell and about a 6 yard average. Johnson for Nolensville had 18 carries and about a 10 yard average. I'm not knocking Dowell or WC but is that in the best interest of a kid long-term to run him that much? Hate to see him with blown out knees and ankles before he ever gets to college.

That's how Page does it. Not flashy, just solid fundamental football.

One more opinion then I'll sit back and see how it plays out. A lot of stock in these predictions comes from the Nolensville v. Franklin Co. game. It was a road game for the Knights, they went in with a target on their back as an undefeated region leader but had little to play for other than the record. Nolensville is still a young school and this is its first year ever as a strong football favorite which may lead to inconsistent play at times. Walton had a poor game - probably his worst - of the season - against what some people say was a good secondary. He bounced back last week. Tonight they're at home and if Nolensville turns out for them they'll feed off that energy. White Co. will need to get up by 2-3 scores early to pull this out. May both teams leave their best on the field tonight. Nolensville will have a bit of a rebuild next year so enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts.

There will be some really good talent on the field tomorrow night. Dowell, Fitzgerald and many others will be playing on Saturdays soon. Congrats to Taylor Wein of Nolensville. I read his Division I offers are coming in. Offers from Oklahoma, Southern Cal and Virginia Tech to name a few.

My guess is the spread here is about right. Page by 10-14 points.
