Clinton beat Central last night in what sounded like a really good game! Fouls were ridiculously lopsided with Clinton having 16 and Central just 6 with just 3 mins left in the game!!!!! Clinton however never gave up and Winchester came thru huge with 30 pts, to win by 6 or 8 I think it was. Im really looking forward to watching the next Clinton VS Oak Ridge game, should be a good one!

Im in favor of it, 35 seconds! Its exactly what any of them that advance to any higher level will see, and its simply another way to get them prepared. I personally think it will also help the game, as the teams have to play the entire 4th qtr instead of trying to hold the ball for 3 mins with a 4 pt lead???? I do agree the Officials will have to be trained and likely upgraded to a better group as a whole. May cost a little more money to get good people.

So far the district looks very tight with several teams all being really close. AC wont be a factor but Karns, Clinton, Oak Ridge, Central, and Powell all seem to be very tight, with Overtime and last second shots deciding pretty much every one of these matchups so far. I think Clinton could be really strong late again, as they have several seniors and great leadership from their Point guard Winchester!

Refs in this area are notoriously bad!! I watch High school basketball all over the country and have for years now with most refs being far superior to ours in this area!

So whats the opinions on what happened to Miller Fri night at Clinton? He had I think 2 pts??? #2 From Clinton guarded him all night and he ended with game high for both teams of 21 pts???

I agree 100% but Clinton is very thin as it is, and while none of these kids were key players, any loss hurts a team with so little depth. I just dont like seeing the trend that is in place at Clinton high school Football right now.

Im hearing Clinton kids dropping like fly's with 3 quitting already this week. QB, Lineman, and a DB left after Halls.

Agreed, Turnovers have really hurt Clinton so far, I think 5 or 6 interceptions and at least that many fumbles in just 3 games??? And what is really bad is Clinton has tried to pass very little so far! Special teams have also been a very poor performer so far.

I think Thackerson will definitely be the guy next year. He only needs a lil more size and strength. I think Winchester kid being best athlete on team needs to be at QB, where he can at least have the ball in his hands more to try and make some plays. This Offense is so slow they need to make the most out of every opportunity. I just hope its at least a competitive game.

Clinton so far has not utilized all the talent they have! Likely best athlete on team not touching the ball anywhere near enough!
