  1. Coin flip for me on this since neither had touch competition last week. I am taking Ensworth.
  2. I got a strange feeling that BA takes this one.
  3. How good is the Hendersonville interior line play? The nose from South Warren is more than a handful: big, quick, and physical. Strip sack, scoop and score by himself last week.
  4. #13 Peter Woods is the DE. Clemson commit and rated 2nd or 3rd depending on the service. YouTube his tape. He is #1 in my opinion.
  5. 32-20. And put some Respect on East’s name. I didn’t think y’all could do it. Y’all smacked them in the mouth early and they couldn’t recover. Good game..East is better than advertised. Ryan with no safeties on the deep balls didn’t help!
  6. I got my tickets for tonight. Can’t wait to see what y’all got. From what I’ve seen 2 really quick WR’s a good arm on the QB and a decent RB. But then there is your O-line….. Good weather and good band….should be a good night.
  7. Cane Ridge beating PC was the upset of the weekend IMO, but can East do the same thing against Father Ryan? I’m sure they have the 35-6 beat down on their minds. Where U at@EastNasty
  8. Nice one! I figured I’d wake you up!
  9. Key word is Skill. O-Line is a bigger weakness than some figure. Do they have anyone that got playing time other than blowouts? If I recall correctly most of the backups were also seniors. Will Robb, who is underrated IMO, rush for 1000 yards? Minchey will still throw for a ton, but does accuracy suffer without that protection? First test in 3 weeks.
  10. Read that the T$$AA kicked the can down the road until 2024.
  11. I think they missed some but it is what it is. It will be decided between the lines.
  12. I can't speak for LA but they will play anybody. They played Oakland last year to a close game. They have Thompson on the schedule this year who is the defending 3 time champs in Alabama 7A in a few weeks...ranked #19 in the country I believe. I would guess it is enrollment numbers. Interesting note that 2 of the best teams in D2 are in that class.
  13. He is good, but also a junior who is about 230lbs. Lance is a mauler who has been around 285 lbs since his freshman year. I've seen him wrestle.
  14. The Catholic Panthers are a 5th-8th grade team that should be what you see on the wrestling side. A lot of those players go elsewhere for high school: MBA, Pearl Cohn, BGA, and Ensworth to name a few.
  15. Throw in the fact that people want to compete in a proven program and it shows the difference between the sports at Father Ryan. Simpson has a roster of former champs that come back to the program to help develop the team. The football side has a record of not keeping alumni coaches....Corey Stewart was the last and left to go to LA before revamping Ezell Harding. I hope Jeremy can change that trajectory but it's not his job: it is the HC and he hasn't done it in almost a decade. I know my posts are often critical of the HC, but he still isn't .500 at the school. Most folks would be reassigned at the very least.
  16. Haters will hate. They are one of the best teams in the country…spend time trying to get better and copy their success instead of complaining. I saw them Friday and they are a machine and very well coached.
  17. Tickets sold on gofans right? Looked yesterday to purchase and didn’t see them.
  18. I got an earful from some reliable sources about the HM.
  19. In his interview with the Tennessean he said his two sons are 3rd and 5th graders this year. He can be close to both boys now rather than wait for the younger son to come of age to attend PJP. I wondered until I read that and respect his decision. He may be throwing a larger net as well. The drive to Hendersonville is not kind to a person living in Nashville unless you are north of the city. Dropping off in the a.m. and catch traffic coming back….Friday game day would be a killer as well. He is also open to the I-24 corridor with a pipeline of talent that he had no shot of attracting at PJP.
  20. I told one of the middle school coaches last night to look out for your version of Michael Vick. He is fast and a rifle for a guy that young.
  21. We always agree on that @cbg. 6 years with a coach who has never finished in the top 4 in the East/Middle division. Ryan got rid of alumni coaches for less. Next is culture shift. With McIntyre gone hopefully the Irish go back to the old days where students of doctors and mechanics share the classroom and field. Board is changing and took a big step with hiring Davis. Hopefully he moves quickly. Those changes spell success for Ryan.
  22. No tinted glasses. O-line was huge and better than last year. No drop off in size when second team came on. Slight drop in QB play vs last year but Luther threw darts. Didn’t see you guys run too much but didn’t have to. Good timing routes kept the defense off balance. They only faced a 3 man rush most of the night. LA defense was sharp and I like the muddle huddle approach giving the QB less time to identify keys. Looks like both team’s starters played halfway through the 3rd and I left in the 4th. Ryan will need to change somethings since this isn’t the 80’s. Teams pass 1st and run second. A good run defense is out the window in 2022 vs the passing teams. First year QB and 1st year OC will need some time.
