Looked like they fixed some mistakes last week. Looked sharp during Friday's scrimmage. 25-14 over Sequoyah with 3 TD's called back and a fumble at the goal line.

Finally started clicking. This team can play. Its going to be a good season. Athletes all over the field! That team got some much needed off season help. Almost all the basketball guys are playing.

Nothing can be farther from the truth. It will be one of your best visitor gates of the season. Good or bad, Central fans historically have traveled very well. I might could understand the Basin argument but McMinn Central fans would outnumber Sequoyah fans in Madisonville.

Coach Davis is an awesome coach. I say the job got stressful and he wanted to take it easy and enjoy the sport instead of the constant grind. I love this guy and hope he has a great time coaching at Rhea. It seems to be a "riding off in the sunset" type of moment. He has earned this time and deserves the accolades and respect. I am thankful for the effect he has had on my life and career. Thanks Coach Davis! Whoever is hired, I hope that the community rallies around this guy and helps as much as possible. It can not be just one man, "it takes a village." No more Englewood vs. Etowah, it has to be CENTRAL CHARGERS. No more division there. Get behind this hire and reach out to help. Former players, coaches etc. Be willing to invest in the program!

Focus on Spring Football and then make a hire by the end of May or Early June?

Sweetwater almost lost to Tellico. A 3-7 class 2A football team. Won on a last minute TD. That same Sweetwater had Red Bank 7-7 @ the half and was only down 14-7 in the 4th Q. Red Bank pulled away with a flurry of points. Alcoa would have put 50 on Sweetwater by half. Their signals are EASY to pick up on. I'm sure Loudon picked up on it and Alcoa will as well if they haven't already. Alcoa is a different animal than Region 3-3A. Red Bank has some guys who look great against average 3A teams. They have one D Lineman who is a true D1 guy and only SEC talent. He's a stud. The twister will be too much for Red Bank to handle. Nowhere to hide from an F5. 1st Q Alcoa 14 Red Bank 7 Halftime Alcoa 20 Red Bank 7 End of 3rd Q Alcoa 34 Red Bank 10 Final Alcoa 41 Red Bank 10 It is what it is. 3A isn't a challenge until State for Alcoa. 4A and 5A probably wouldn't be either.

You would think so. People are notified immediately but the schools have different protocols to follow. It's red tape and paperwork.

It's making sense now. The whole team is quarantined until that official contact tracing document can be submitted on Monday. The timing sucked for McMinn and DB probably moves on as they accept the COVID win.

Both teams should meet Monday and play OT rules until there's a winner. Just like they used to do with Tie Breakers for playoffs back in the day. *Maryville has plenty of films on both teams I'm sure. Probably an entire season worth.

That protocol may have been the list of contact traces you turn into dept of health after a pos case. No way tracing can be official until Monday when health dept opens. McMinn will turn in zero names but will be official with doh. Here's the issue I have. If Dept of Health can make a call on a Friday at 700pm. They should allow McMinn the op to turn in the official list of traces on Saturday! Alot of fishy stuff going on from all sides
