  1. Yes teams need to get kids as much experience as possible, but what about those kids who aren't ready to play on Friday nights? JV games are their time to play and enjoy the game. JV games need to be the time for the ones who may be relied on to play as juniors and seniors. If they don't get their time; they may not make it to their potential, or even stay with the game. Plus you also risk an injury to those who you rely on in the real games. Just thinking, everyone has different perspectives, and they are not necessarily wrong. Just a different way of looking at it.
  2. Yes, with a decent coach and Wilson Cates, they would have definately won it or been really close. So would most other AA teams, and in A, no contest.
  3. The problem is that no one will go there to coach because there isn't any support. The supplements they give are not even close to any of the other schools and way off what they pay their basketball coaches. For the program to be successful; there needs to be a program. They renuvated the field, but other than that there are no facilities. Nothing for the boys to belong to. If they could get someone to come in with a knowledgable staff and get full support from the administration and the community, then they could be successful. Example: Girls basketball.
  4. Looks like somebody touched a nerve, maybe you were one of the ones he was talking about.
  5. I don't think I would forget about the 96 and 97 teams. Lost in quarterfinals to Lenoir City 3-0 went 10-3 then went 2nd round and went 10-2. Best defense ever and Garrett ran for over a 1000 and Swallows threw for the single season record in yards and Houser received for a 1000. Teams only averaged about 12 points a game against them over those two years. They were pretty good.
  6. You are a very good offense and defense, but without Cates on both sides; you are 3-5. You all get credit for being good, and you are, but don't take away from him for being really good. Everyone should get their due credit for their ability and smarts.
  7. I don't know if I would be calling anyone soft, especially when you were probably voted least athletic in your class. You probably never played football or anything else. I would say he could bench press you but you probably weigh 400+. And I don't think you have the credentials to be naming next years starting lineup. How about supporting somebody instead of trying to undermine everybody.
  8. I don't think you want to compare Scott County's football history against LA's history. It could be embarassing.
  9. What happened in 84? You'all must've had a 500 season.
  10. Well then I guess LA has beaten them since 95 and 96 comes after 92,93, or 94. I think the LA winning streak over Scott will continue.
  11. Best to my knowledge LA beat Scott in 95 and 96 and have not played since.
  12. For LA to be the laughing stock of the region they would have to take that title away from you. Let's see Scott county records in 2001 0-10 overall 0-7 region, 2002 1-9 1-6, 2003 5-5 2-5, 2004 3-7 1-6. I don't think I would be calling anyone a laughing stock with your record of 9-31 over the last four years. Winning every other game would definitely be a huge improvement for you guys. You better hope LA doesn't compare with Kingston, when was the last time you beat them, or can anyone remember.
  13. The football coach has been gone too long to be considered from Livingston anymore. He's full blooded Smith County Owl.
  14. Congratulations to Coach Bibb and the Bobcats on an outstanding season. Good luck in the tournament. You have given yourself a chance, while others are at the house. P.S. Try to be calm and enjoy it.
