  1. From the Tennessean: Covington (11-2) vs. Pearl-Cohn (13-0) The game was moved to Glencliff because of the condition of Pearl-Cohn's field due to rain. Pearl-Cohn is the last opponent standing between Covington and a third consecutive state title game appearance. The Firebirds' Martino Owens has thrown for 1,800 yards and 26 touchdowns. The Chargers have a standout running back in Marcus Hayes, who was a Mr. Football finalist last year, but he has been battling injuries. Linebacker Caleb Winfrey was a first-team all-state selection last year.
  2. I agree we had the opportunity but didn't capitalize on them. And it was 14-7 with 6 minute left in the 4th.
  3. Ncs just couldn't get the ball down the field. Usj defense was legit. And if it wasnt a for a trick play ncs wouldn't have scored.
  4. At the same time I dont think Pearl holds them scoreless.
  5. Idk. I dont see ncs getting held to just 14. I'm going 28-17 ncs
  6. From the Tennessean: USJ (9-3) at Nashville Christian (11-0) 7 p.m., Friday Matt McClary thew for 256 yards and had three touchdowns when NCS beat USJ 28-27 the first meeting. McClary will need to do at least that this meeting and the Eagles must trim down on their penalties — they had eight for 80 yards against the Bruins in the regular season. Kreager's pick: Nashville Christian 21, USJ 14
  7. You could say the same about Stratford. If they took care of the ball they're the ones playing Pearl.
  8. After seeing the Stratford game I think they keep it close in the first half and them Pearl runs away with it in the second.
  9. Winner goes to Cookeville. Who do you got?
  10. Stratford had multiple shots at taking the lead but they couldn't hold on to the ball.
  11. 17-7 with 26 seconds left and Stratford hasn't ran a play yet.
  12. From the Tennessean: Summit (8-2) at Gallatin (9-1) 7 p.m., Friday Summit quarterback Destin Wade missed two games earlier in the season against Page and Franklin County due to an ankle injury. He's healthy now entering the Class 5A playoffs and has thrown for 1,018 yards and 13 touchdowns. However, Summit must slow down Gallatin's Spencer Briggs, who rushed for 1,506 yards with 15 total TDs in eight games. Kreager's pick: Gallatin 35, Summit 21
