He played in it. That is one hundred percent true. When I heard about it I went and found it. They were in full uniforms. They even had a TV crew announcing it. Without him they never beat SP last season much less Greenback. I think it was just a huge oversight by the TSSAA myself. It obviously slipped through the cracks.

I was told it stems from current coaches or maybe even one coach. Something about taunting and making fun of kids. Apparently it kept going all the way into spring sports seasons. PowerP is that correct? I don’t know about all the details but I remember some senior parents being very upset because of what was said toward kids after that game as well. Conduct you wouldn’t expect from a coach. I think this one has been festering for almost a year now. I agree he might try to set a record.

That’s unfortunate for us. I know they will play hard this week regardless. I saw some of Meigs online. They will dwarf us in terms of size.

I agree with your take on this game. It should be a great game. I’m excited about the atmosphere I know we will see on Friday.

The kid went to a camp which by the rules is fine. However when he played in their invite only all star game in Louisiana which isn’t allowed by TSSAA rules he should have been ineligible the entire season. He was the only Underclassman in Tennessee that played in it because most know it’s not allowed. The game was streamed through one of the ESPN affiliates. Yes, it was a clear rules violation. However, for reasons unknown the TSSAA did nothing and let it fly. Basically he got to play all season for them and he shouldn’t have accordingly to their rules. They got by with It which further showed that it truly was a season of destiny up there for them. Most of us that saw them play no they would not have been the same animal without him. He was a very special player.

It is really a shame what that bunch got away with last season. It cost either SP or Greenback another title. SP lost to Union City, Wayne County, Trousdale, Polk, Knox Grace, and others through the years. No one ever said they cheated. Also I don’t recall anyone saying Greenback cheated in 2016 or 2017. Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t really remember.

Stewie Stewie those Whitwell boys have collapsed. What’s going on up there? They had one of the best lines in all of Tennessee returning didn’t they?

This place has a bunch of goofs from both sides. One is the as bad as the other. I Personally don’t care what any other team got this season. However, this current SP team is a home grown group that has been together for years. I’m so sick of hearing it from both sides. I’ve been a long time reader here but I’ve recently started to post. Name calling in here like a bunch of Democrats. The facts in this arguing are Greenback got a bunch of stud transfer starters this season. SP also got several transfers but most of them are younger kids and don’t start. Guess what? None of it matters because around Thanksgiving these two are going to lay it all on the line. Someone is going to lose and someone is going to win. The next day Lord willing the sun will come up again.

I could have sworn their coach said before the season their line was the best around. Don’t they have a bunch of all state linemen that returned? It seems like those awesome players won for them last season. Shut out by Sale Creek? Wow!

I know Peabody is awesome but what has happened to Union City? Both times SP faced them they were awesome teams.

I believe this will be a good game. Maybe a coin flip type game between two great teams. Regardless it should help both moving toward the playoffs.

I doubt Greenback coaches actually recruited any players Just like SP didn’t recruit any players. I guess some of these posts in here are really just an attempt to ruffle feathers. I know this SP bunch. They will be ready to go regardless of who they play. They may not win them all but this group of kids has won more than they’ve lost for a very long time.

This Whitwell team has went from first to worst. I remember at the beginning of the season they thought they were going to repeat as state champions. This is just plain bad.

I’m going to pick Greenback by a whole bunch in this one. Coalfield struggled with Midway.

I clicked on this topic to see what it was. SP hasn’t recruited any kids. To my knowledge have 1 transfer starter on the team. 98% of this group of juniors and seniors have been together since they were 5-6 year olds. They came up winning through the rec leagues together.

Looking forward to this game next week. It should be an electric atmosphere for these kids. Not getting to play the Red Bank game was disappointing. Long time reader of coacht here. I have always have gotten a kick out of reading some of the stuff here. I only have two colors in my crayon box so to speak though. SP orange and black. I thought it was about time I joined in the fun. We respect Greenback and their program but we don't fear them. They definitely have a great team again this season. The Pirates aren't bad either though. If that game takes place these kids will show up and lay it all on the line. At the end of the night we will shake hands and go home. One thing about it. Lord willing and If they meet up both will have had really good seasons again. Respectfully the slight about Marion County all stars is very inaccurate. 98% of this group of juniors and seniors have been together since they were 5/6 year old. They have put in a lot of hard work to get to this point. Actually we have lost more kinds than we gained through the years. We have 6 or 7 really good ball players that aren't with us anymore.
