  1. Shotgun5wide, are you the spawn of Satan? You sure sound like it. I sincerely hope that you get try to get help. The bitterness that consumes you can be washed away. Please let go of the hate. Don't worry about Ezell. They might surprise a few teams this year with their offensive prowess.
  2. SportCaster: First, isn't it supposed to be Sportscaster? Did you mispell your your own handle? Second, are you a recipient of a public school education? If so, your parents should apply for a tax credit. If you attend or have attended private school, your parents should demand a refund. Finally, if I were you, I would dust off the grammar book.
  3. Coach Smith, Please do not be disheartened by the purveyors of misinformation. Social mutants like “SportCaster” start rumors because they are filled with envy and hate. These mutants typically write messages riddled with spelling and grammatical errors. See the following examples: Example #1: “i just got done with a interview with him.” (SportCaster) A interview? Example #2: “he thinks that he can go to a collage level find let him.” (SportCaster) Collage? Find? Few sane people would cite “SportCaster” as a reliable source much less believe him. Coach Smith, we know that you love the kids and all those involved with the Ezell program. We look forward to another exciting year. Good luck!!! Ezell players: we need you to work hard this summer.....that is if we are going to compete for the gold ball. Wizard
  4. Conversation recently heard at the international house of pancakes: Waitress: "What kind of syrup would you like on your boyd-buchanan pancakes?" CPA lineman: "Just give me the usual maple syrup." Waitress: "Sort of like your order during the DCA game?" CPA lineman: "Yep." Waitress: "Do you want those pancakes to-go?" CPA lineman: "Yes, put them in that run down bus over there and send them on their way. Don't forget the silver trophy er....I mean silverware for the boyd pancakes." [Edited by wizard on 12-5-02 3:02P]
  5. Boyd will take home the silver: It is too bad as Ezell certainly deserved 2nd place. Boyd's players aren't good enough to load up the equipment for Ezell. Boyd: if you want to feel better, you can always buy some gold spray paint at Home Depot and paint the silver tropy. I heard Home Depot has good deal on gold spray paint in your county.

    EZELL

I would like to save the Boyd fans the agony of defeat. Do not drive to Murfreesboro. CPA WILL WIN THE GAME. If it was legal in Tennessee to gamble, I would take any bet. Boyd: if you want to feel better, you can always buy some gold spray paint at Home Depot and paint the silver tropy. I heard Home Depot has good deal on gold spray paint in your county.
  7. A few "Stars" may not play, but the jury is still out. The kids may want to forget the stinging defeat in football. What a better way to forget it than to play bball. I am not going to worry about it. I'll take kids with good attitudes.....

The only way Boyd gets close to a tropy is if they come over to Ezell for an afternoon and look at ours from last year.

    CPA WINS!!!!

Congratulations CPA! you played a heck of a game and have improved significanlty. You were the better team. To Ezell, you had a great streak and should be very proud of your accomplishments. These are two great programs. CPA go get the trophy and show the state that region 5 is best. An Ezell Fan.
  10. Once again, I must inform you that J Gettis is not the one posting smack talk. This is a CPA student who created a logon as "gettis" and is trying to create locker room material for his own team. I talked to Gettis, he insists this is not him. Ezell players are not smack talking.
  11. I am an Ezell fan who is not looking past any team. I doubt that our team is looking past anyone. They realize how talented CPA and USJ are. I think CPA is a very solid opponent. We certainly have our hands full. If we do manage to win the game, we have another challenge in the next round presumably against USJ. If Ezell ends up losing this weekend or next, it is simply because CPA or USJ has a better team. I can live with that. USJ surprised me last year. solid team and coaching. But I do feel that if Ezell can make it past those 2 powerhouses, they have a great chance to win in the boro. Ezell is made for the astroturf in the boro.....that turf hurts teams like Cloudland. It just increased the speed of the game last year. That is my opinion.
  12. CPA, Ezell, or USJ: Two of the three should be in the championship game. Unfortunately based on brackets, only 1 will be in. These are indeed the 3 best teams. Good luck to Ezell this week against a rock solid opponent in CPA.
  13. where will the game be???? Ezell??? if so are you certain?
  14. 1) congratulations to CPA. We will see you next week at Ezell Harding. It should be a great game. This could be the "real" state championship. I am a big time Ezell fan, but have a lot of respect for what CPA is doing. 2) As I mentioned earlier, this was a win-win for Herby Luker. Now herby can say, "I told ya'll so. We can't compete with those city slicker private schools."
  15. I hope Herby Luker doesn't cry at halftime. Because CPA is going to drop mediocre Collinwood like a hot potato. Also, I did hear that a couple of Titans may show up and help CPA......as a favor to Coach Fisher. I think Albert Haynesworth will start at defensive tackle. I must admit, if Herby Luker's team wins they proceed to the next playoff game. If Herby's team loses, it just proves that Herby can't beat the evil privates. And this would justify Herby's whining. Poor Little Herby is in a Win-Win situation.
  16. I hope Herby Luker plays QB.
  17. I very much doubt that those posts were from the Ezell players. Anyone can register as anybody on this site. This could be a little tomfoolery from some kids at another school in an attempt to fire up collinwood. I will not name names, but I have a pretty good idea. (Prankster Kids from a school that starts with a D.) Don' worry, Ezell is focused on DCA. Don't be fooled by cheap tactics.
  18. Blueboy: Keep on believing that uninsightful clap trap. Please believe me when I say that public schools cannot prepare our students for the future. Privatization is the only way to insure academic success. Since the congress will be run by Republicans beginning in January, I see plenty of good things on the way for private schools.... Eventually (10 years), we will have more than enough private schools. Then the Tennessee Education Association can be dismantled and those old hags over there will have nothing left to do and no one else to extort. [Edited by wizard on 11-11-02 2:01P]
  19. The real losers in this situation are the public school kids. First, after years of public education failing miserably, the curriculum was dumbed down to a point where GPA is meaningless as a benchmark between public and private schools. The lesson here was that if you can not do well enough on your own, we will change the rules. Hence, the exodus of bright kids to private schools. Second, public schools have a few bad years in football. (Note: that publics in the last 12 years have done better than privates overall.) We can not let little Herby Luker experience defeat. That is just not fair. So what do we do? We change the rules so little Herbys team has a better chance of winning. This better chance has to do with fewer teams in the public divisions as far as I am concerned. So what will be the result? I believe we will see a mass exodus of great athletes from the publics to the privates. The implications are deep. . If a public schools best students and athletes leave for a private school, what is left? Will publics truly have any pride left? Or will publics turn into a landfill of future bottom feeders? Do these changes really prepare our public school students for the real world? Dear Publics: You had better be careful what you ask for. It just might backfire. [Edited by wizard on 11-11-02 12:02P]
  20. KingBrian3: Buggs will be laughing all the way to the bank with a Vanderbilt education. Maybe he doesn't want to roll all of the dice on football.......like many of the UT dropouts (92% of UT football players dropped out from UT (95 & 96 classes). I wonder what those guys are doing now???
  21. The interesting thing is that Vanderbilt already has 8 verbal commits while UT only has 2 (I think this is on Rivals website.) Most of these 8 Vandy commits are 3 or 4 star players. The new Vandy regime is not wasting any time recruiting this year.......Could be a good sign for them.

    FRA|Ezell

Hey Curlee! I too have been keeping up with Erik's career. I wouldn't worry about playing time. He is going to get plenty of that. After Stricker and Garrett leave, I see ED as number 2 behind Brandon Smith. Not that Brandon is better, he just has more college experience. I think the coaches over there are figuring out just how good Erik is. Erik would be foolish to transfer.....He is in a place that I believe really wants and needs him on the field over the next 3 years. I honestly believe he will be drafted in the NFL if he keeps on working hard. Nice to hear from you Curlee....
  23. Ezell Harding vs. CPA may develop into one. Historically CPA has destroyed Ezell.
  24. I just read on vandymania.com that Marcus Buggs committed to Vandy. He will play as a safety. Is this true? If so, I believe that Vandy got a solid player ranked in the top 60 (or higher) at his position by Rivals.

    FRA|Ezell

okay, i overreacted a little.... I am looking forward to seeing FRA play. I missed the game between these two last year. It should be fun having the cross town rival come over to Ezell. FRA has some good kids over there....classy. I went to an Ezell vs. FRA basketball game last year. Kids were real classy...more kids turned out than parents. By the way, how is the parent turnout at FRA football games. [Edited by wizard on 10-30-02 11:56A]
