6A was probably the worst display of announcing that I've ever attempted to watch. At times I just turned the TV on MUTE. I realize that i'm probably not a good person to ask, but I sure could tell "on which sideline" the announcers were alined. But anyway WH sure did have a lot of athletes and 31 seniors, Good Job Rebels

The REBELS start 3 seniors on D... S/DE/LB .....3 (sometimes 4) on O ... S/FL (Sr) is 6'5" 210 ... Sr starters on O are all wideouts. Gotta a SR PK (no doubt, the best in the state) Offensive backfield JR/QB...SR/FL ... JR/RB ... and FR/RB Rest are young kids....Solid corners, quality at safety, tuff backers, young wormy linemen (some 6'5" 275-280) Our offense .... IS what you give us: can we run ...YES ; can we pass YES ... Why in the HE.., I mean, Why in the world would we change our offense. I don't know if we will win another championship this year or not (I sure hope so) but I do know one thing, if your planning on winning you"ll have to beat the REBELS to get there

Yes, but you aren't playing Ooltewah and Oak Ridge .... and you're playing at MARYVILLE ...Come to think of it, you better get on the road ... considering the crowd you're bringing ... you might have to stand up

Your team may not be intimidated by our streak or what has happened in the past, but it's quite evident that you're tighter than "Dick's hat band". Relax, it's just a football game between two outstanding teams

Let's try this Maryville vs Maplewood thread awhile.....the other one seems to be going nowhere but down the tubes. Don't know anything about Maplewood EXCEPT they're playing in the finals of the state 4-A. I think that in itself is reason enough to show them respect. Will Maryville be ready, darn Right, they'll be ready.....They always are. You don't win 59 in a row by not being ready

I would be willing to put a wager down that more people from Maryville pull for the county teams, than more county people pull for Maryville. I have friends who have told me that if Maryville was playing the Russian Army, they would learn a little Russian and cheer for them. I agree , STARS, 100 %. I know that all MHS fans that I'm around pull for WB or HERITAGE when they're not playing Maryville. But you very seldom see a county person or for that matter ALCOA fan who pulls for Maryville. I know, I've got relatives who could care less who wins as long as Maryville loses. I've got g-kids that go to Heritage and I pull for them, EXCEPT when they play Maryville......But you're right percentage wise far more of us pull for them then them for us Wouldn't you agree GOV MAN

ONEOLDCOACH ... if you are out there ... could you confirm, deny, or at least give a little detail of this incident? I'm not in any way doubting you RebelRon, but could there perhaps be more to the story? Can't answer this question, I never heard this said. I was told that it was said, but I did not hear anyone make that statement. But I do know that he took a bunch of delay of game calls near the end of the half. And two years ago, they did refuse to play us. I have no hard feelings directed at Rick. We've both been working at it a long time. It's not my place to tell him how to coach his team, I just try to do the best that I can with "THE REBS". I'm sure he doesn't always agree with me nor do I always agree with him, That's what makes the world go round. As for THE GOVS, we've got kids from our program that have played at Blount, and I'm sure that we will have others that will play there. Our job is to teach these kids football fundementals, disipline, and what it means to be part of a team. Where they go to high school is entirely up to them and their parents. As for me I'M A REBEL through and through. But whereever these kids go to highschool we'll support them and their families. Some of our best kids have gone to WB, Heritage and Alcoa. GOVMAN, As we talked many years ago when we had youth from all four high schools in our youth group Is it not a shame, that we can't compete on the field.....and just leave it there...and when it's over just get together and thank GOD that the game was played fairly, safely and with CLASS

Gov Man, Sounds kinda like you're trying to convince yourself......not me!!!!! I think that WBis a much improved team and they probably did get the SHAFT last Friday evening,BUT when those black hats come out this Friday night.... you'll have that same feeling come over you that has ever since you were a kid.....You know...kinda like.... I just don't believe we can do it....AND you'll probably be right. May the best team win ....not luck, not officials...... just the best team. Then let's all (Maryville, WB and Alcoa) win out and get deep into the playoffs. Not everyone at Maryville dislikes WB......Some of us just like THE REBELS best but we pull for all the kids to do well and play safe. Got a lotta kids at Blount, Heritage and Alcoa that I really hope do well but I'm a MARYVILLE supporter who hopes all others do well except when they play MHS
