  1. yes that is right..... it was a well played game by both teams..... LaVergne won 9-6......it was basically a re match of the game they played earlier this year with both teams throwin the same pitchers and also batting pratically the same line ups.....its was just a great game all around
  2. there was an indians scout at one of la vergne games watchin cole harington pitch too
  3. no your not rambling..... i agree with you 100%.... yea there are those games that you get beat by a bloop hit or maybe a bad call.. but a lot of times when you lose its because the other team just out played you.. and people should see this..... but they try to cover up for themselves and the team.. well sometimes it takes a good butt kickin and for the team to realize it to get them in gear....
  4. the LaVergne game was not so much of an upset... yes Beech is doin good over all.. but they came into the game 0-2 in their district while LaVergne was 1-2 in their district.. both teams had come off a tough loss from the nite before.. its just plain and simple that LaVergne rebounded better than Beech did... LaVergne came out swingin and they over all just out played Beech, but you have to give it to Beech they did not give up they fought throughout the whole game...... Beech is now 0-3 in district play LaVergne is now 2-2 in district play
  5. i totally agree with respectin the flag, but about the prayer.. there are ppl that that offends(which i find outragous).... but out of respect for them thats why teams don't, you know the whole seperation of church and state thing.... i don't know about other teams but i know our team has a prayer before every game
  6. ok.. cole threw 137 pitches and was clocked at 91 the highest.. that was in the fourth... in the 6th and 7th he was throwin 82 83....as far as scouts bein there... i know there were a few colleges there... such as libscom, cumberland, and trevecca..... as for the indians, no there was no indians scout there.. i don't know where that came from but he was not there........ now as far as him winnin 6 this year.. yea i would say he will... all he has to do is throw strikes and let his defense take care of him, i don't care what you say about LaVergne, but they have one of the best defenses around district 9-aaa
  7. ok i see what your sayin... but if you will look at what i said i said i think that you threw your #2 or something.. so back off there.. and as far as me puttin my money on LaVergne.. yea i would do that.. because like i said no one thinks we will win... its all about WH...Mt.J.....SHS.....and Beech..... ppl even think that gallatin and hendersonville will beat us this year... so i mean all LaVergne has to do is sit back and let ya'll come rollin in thinkin you will stomp them and yet they sneak up and get the win.... so you go ahead and do what you want.... and yes your right, you make errors you lose.. that just shows lack of focus on their parts, so you can't try to get out of it with that.. that just shows who the better team is.. but we will see what happens next time
  8. ooo.. well i dunno.. i heard la vergne hit the ball pretty well against your #2... so maybe next time you should throw your #1.. but i would still put my money on la vergne.. because everyone thinks they stink and they will do bad this year.. well with the under dog mentality they will sneak up on a lot of ppl in a hurry.. you just wait and see.. so i think i will see the next game.... but as i said, i still put my money on la vergne
  9. yes they are good in their class...lol.. but when they stepped up to aaa they were run ruled by la vergne
  10. Did i hear that right??? LaVergne beat White House?!?!... what a win for LaVergne, White House went into the game with only 3 losses on the season(11-3 i think).... and LaVergne who had 6 losses(6-6)now 7-6........ that is a confidence builder for LaVergne, heard they played well and never gave up, they get Beech on Wen. so they have another chance to show what they got against another top team...... Go Rines and good luck next time White House.....
  11. ok... 89-90 by a freshman, thats hard to believe... but whats harder to believe is an 80 curve...... i would have to see it to believe it
  12. ok well it might be true that smyrna doesn't have a clear cut ace... but 83.... theres nuthin special about that... an average high school hitter can hit that..... so i mean theres really nuthin to brag about on that.... and as far as the best pitcher is in 9-AAA... we can't tell right now.. because we don't start district til next week... so give it a few weeks in and we will see who can shut down what i feel is one of the if not the toughest district in tennessee......
  13. hey ya'll.... i would have to say that our district is by far the toughest in state...... this year will be a great year, i feel that everyone can beat everyone and its gonna be a shoot out... SHS has some good pitchin, but ya can counter that with good hittin, which LHS and Beech and MJ have..... also the 3 previously mentioned have good pitchin as well....... and as far as defense goes.... LHS has a great defense lead by their catcher Derick Hulsey and center fielder Will Vaughn their infield is very very solid as well, Michael Dunkle on short and Zac Galmish on second can turn it very well........ i have heard rumors of great defense at SHS and MJ as well.... SHS with Moony and Egerton(sorry if i miss spelled the names) up the middle are a very solid defensive team as well.......... so i don't think there really is a favorite to win it this year.... it will just be a hard fought district season plain and simple, all though i do believe people are takin LHS to lightly, right now they are playin solid defense and hittin very well, but the same can be said for SHS or anyone else.. so you never know....
