  1. Do you guys have a good amount of speed? Size?
  2. I know Trousdale County was 2A for some years. They had some of the best public school teams I’ve ever seen with my own eyes. And I mean in any class. They were absolutely loaded in the mid-late 90’s. Although I think they were 1A at the time. Also pretty certain that Alcoa was in 2A for a good while. They were still clipping off state titles year after year at that point too. 1A seems to be more competitive because it is mostly wide open. Sure there are the regulars who will be there late November/early December more years than not but a lot of parody in 1A over a long stretch
  3. I’m just sorry that you took the time to type it out and post it thinking it was in any way accurate
  4. This is possibly the worst list I have ever laid my eyes on
  5. Can’t speak for region 6. Haven’t seen any of them play this year. But for ours, I don’t see RBS beating JB although I would love for it to happen. That would be a huge step in the right direction for the Bulldog program. I also think that #1 and #2 for our region is a coin flip. That week 11 game between us and Clay should be a dandy. I know who I’m pulling for
  6. Owls are very big and physical but ran out of gas late against us. Granted that was week 1 so conditioning have improved. Also they do lack true speed at the skill positions. They are a solid football team but very beatable
  7. Coalfield wouldn’t be able to lick the dirt off of York’s cleats. They are hardly good enough to do that to anybody in 1A outside of their little corner of the state
  8. For region 4, I think Jo Byrns finished 3rd and RBS 4th
  9. Haven’t seen York play but I can tell you from what I saw when we played Forrest, if MC is actually any good, they should not have struggled with Forrest at all
  10. Blueprint score prediction 28-13 good guys Go Tigers!!!!
  11. Believe me, I know that but it shouldn’t take a genius to figure out if a team beats another team by 14 points then they are probably the better team
  12. Only team I’ve seen play is Dekalb because we (Gordonsville) played them. But I don’t see why he thinks White Co will beat everybody in the opposite region to go to semis. But those same teams from the opposite region will beat teams from WC region that WC couldn’t beat. Tough to follow what I said but hopefully you get the point haha
  13. Don’t understand the logic behind these picks but more power to you
  14. Can someone in the great state of Tennessee explain to me how Whitwell and Collinwood are still on this list? Oliver Springs deserves to be on there over Whitwell considering they beat them by 2 scores
  15. Somebody give me the story on this game. Saw where it was only 21-7 at half
  16. If you guys are as good as advertised, you could probably run rule everybody in the east
  17. You guys will beat anybody in the east by 3-4 scores at least
  18. 100%. That’s the only reason they have added classes over the years. Unfortunately they will probably add another before too long. T$$AA gonna get theirs
  19. TSSAA doesn’t pay football coaches. That is up to the school system
  20. With 2 teams from each district or region making the playoffs every year, there will absolutely be really good teams sitting at home coke playoff time just like there was back when. But if that’s the case, then that means most schools in the playoffs are good, meaning better/more meaningful football games. Plus, you find out who is really the best team when you have to beat 4 quality opponents in November to win it all I’m not dumb enough to think that there will ever be a perfect system because there won’t be. But there are plenty of other options to improve high school football in Tennessee than what TSSAA has in place right now
  21. TSSAA has watered down football everywhere by going to 6 public classes and 3 private classes. Regions are mostly uncompetitive across the board. And round 1-2 and in some cases 3 are nothing more than a long day of travel for a team/parents just to get blown out. Need to cut back on the classes and make regions bigger and only top 2 of each region make the playoffs. Every game would matter more and the product on the field would be much better TSSAA is going to make their money and the way to guarantee that is to have more classes, which means more regions, more playoff games, and more championship games. Back in the day, if you played til mid-November you were a dang good football team. Now some team make it to Thanksgiving week who have no business being there. The setup now makes the product on the field most Friday nights pretty bad Just my 2 cents. Football was much better when every single game mattered
  22. The west is absolutely better than the east. South Pitt is just as good or better than any of the teams out west. But Gordonsville/Clay are the next best behind SP in the east but would be probably 5th or 6th best out west
