I watched the Hickman Co. BGA game. It was a really good game with the lead swapping back and forth the whole first half. I think BGA may have led at the half by two points. BGA has a good team with a big man in the middle and quick guards that are very good taking the ball to the hoop. They are also a good shooting team from the outside. Hickman Co. started two seniors, one junior and two sophmores. Puckett, the junior had a good game hitting probably 3 or 4 from three point range and some mid range jumpers. I thought Hickman Co. looked pretty good for the first game. They should get alot better as the season plays out.

Yeah, East problem is going to be depth. They finished the season last year with 6 or 7 players to finish the season. They have some good size in Hill and Kelly whom I think are seniors and Hobbs who is a junior. They will need to get some solid play from their backcourt if they are going to be competitive. Who knows if Cheatham Co. is down this season and the jury is still out on Harpeth then East Hickman may be right in the middle of the race.

Yes, they only lost one starter to graduation. They are not loaded with alot of juniors and seniors. I think maybe they will have 3 or 4 seniors, 1 or 2 juniors but the sophmore class is their largest class and they should have a good freshman class. I would say they will probably start 2 seniors, a junior and possibly 2 sophmores. He should have deep bench with everyone getting some playing time but you are going to have to play defense.

Hickman Co. should be pretty good this year. They will have good size under the basket and will have a player back that missed the entire season due to a shoulder injury. A weakness they had last year was not much depth on their bench but their bench should be deep this year. Tyler Stacks a senior is probably their best player. East Hickman showed signs of improvement as the season went on but depth was their problem and it may be the same this season. I saw Cheatham Co. play once last year. They looked pretty good but I'm not sure how many they lost to graduation. I don't know anything about Harpeth. This is just a shot in the dark guess but here is my predictions! 1. Hickman Co. 2.Cheatham Co. 3. Harpeth 4. East Hickman Good luck to your teams!! Hope it is a fun season.

I think actually Fairview can compete with Creekwood and stands a good chance on winning that district. Fairview and Creekwood use to be in the same District 11 AA up until about three years ago. Fairview if I am not mistaken won that district a few times.

That was a very entertaining game between two really good teams. Fairview could never get over the hump in the second half. They got within two points, just to see Giles Co. answer right back with a barrage of three pointers to push the lead to double digits.Good luck to both teams in their sub state game. Fairview High School and staff should be recognized for hosting both District and Regional Tournaments. You all did an awesome job and should be very proud. A packed gym with fans from both sides cheering their teams and creating an electric atmosphere is what players from both teams will remember for the rest of their lives. That is what high school basketball is all about. Big shout out to P A announcer from Fairview he is fantastic !!

East Hickman will bring back most of their starters, they showed a little improvement this past season but still have a ways to go. Kelly boy is probably their best player , he likes to drive and slash to the basket. Hickman Co. will lose one starter to graduation and they will get a boy back that missed all last season to a shoulder injury from football. Stacks is probably their best player , he does most of his scoring by driving to the basket.I saw Cheatham Co. boys play in Fairview and I was impressed by the way they played. I don't know how many players Cheatham Co. and Harpeth losses, but I think Hickman Co. can be competitive in this district.

If I am looking at the bracket correctly it shows Camden vs Gibson Co. at 6pm , and Union City vs Milan at 7:45 Tuesday at Camden Central.

Where will this district tournament be played?

Camden is a very good team. I saw them play twice both times against Hickman Co. They are a team that shoots the ball well, can rebound and plays good enough defense to turn you over. I have seen Fairview play a couple times and they lead in District 9. They could be a possible team that Camden could face in substate if both make it that far. I think Camden would match up really well against them.

Yes, when you enter the gym the visitors side will be on the left. You will go to the top of the bleachers and there will be an area that is used to set up for broadcast.

No, all four games will be played on February 18th. The girls and boys consolation and the girls and boys title games.

The District 11 AA tournament will be played at East Hickman. The girls semifinals will be played on February 14 and the boys semifinals will be February 16. I don 't know the times for certain, but probably 6 and 7:30. Just a guess.

I think tomorrow nights winner of the Waverly/Hickman County game will be huge in who finishes second in the district. Camden is a very good team . They jumped out to a big lead on Hickman Co. and lead by 12 at halftime. Hickman Co. come back in third quarter and tied it up but Camden went on a run and beat them by 12 or 13. East Hickman beat Hickman Co. by one point in a Christmas tournament , but lost to them last week in their first district game. Yeah, it would be a big blow to their chances of coming in second for Waverly, Hickman Co. or Stewart Co. if East Hickman upsets any of them.

Yes, I think you are right. It is suppose to be District 11 turn to host the regionals. I am sorry I do not the location but I will try to find out and I wil post it on here.

Yeah, with East Hickman win over Hickman County last Friday definitely put them in the drivers seat. The other 3 teams looks like they are playing for second place.

I agree with you. Waverly lost a tough game against Hickman County in 3 overtimes the other night. I still think Waverly will probably finish maybe middle of the pack in that district. I think they may be better than their record indicates.

This district is there for the taking if any team wants to step up and take charge. There is really no dominant team that is head and shoulders above the rest.
