  1. Facts. That's all I will say. No need to get your panties in a wad.
  2. That's a bunch of crap. Did you even see the 7 on 7 game. It was our jv dude. Our varsity did not take a snap. Last time I looked we ha 4 gold balls in the last 7 years. No concerns man. We are okay over here. This may be the only year USJ Could even compete with Peabody. Enjoy your year dude. It's going to be special. No. Davidson county to worry about. And if Peabody does not win the gold, recent memory says we are in a very small class of 3 peat winners. I promise you we are okay.
  3. Our kids and coaches are not making excuses, just fans. But that's what we do right?
  4. Ok good point. But did you know USJ put 8 in the box all night and we only had 5. I commend our coaches for sticking to their game plan, no matter the outcome. It was an humbling experience for our kids and that was part of the plan. With that said, our coaches had the sink or swim attitude. We sank. But when was the last time a fumble in the end zone before crossing not called a touchback. Just saying. Good luck to both teams.
  5. I have spoken to parents on the past who said their kid was recruited out of a local middle school not zoned for USJ. RAISE that number to 500 and leave out 1st half
  6. USJ is d2 for all the right reasons. Enough said. We did not bash USJ 2 years when we put up 5 or 6 tds to 0. It's a scrimmage. It would not surprise me if Peabody could win in regular season. USJ RAPED A player right in fry of ref, no call. We picked up about 17 yards on a run that was called back for holding that never took place. Who knows what happens on that drive. You guys beat us in 2 quarters. Y'all were better that day. Yes and I have complained about refs ager a win. Just like USJ did after ya'll beat McKenzie. I pulled for USJ last year and I will this year only when they are playing privates.
  7. Okay man I tend to agree with this whole post. Number 50 will whip anyone in this state. But you can't tell most of us about some form of recruiting. I do respect USJs program
  8. Okay I won't explain the meaning of this post but I do agree with the latter part
  9. We got Milan, Westview, Dyresburg, Lake County, Huntington, South Side.
  10. This 7 year run has produced 4Gold balls. Only Alcoa and Maryville compares to that. What's impressive about Peabody is they have done all of this with 98 percent of home grown kids
  11. They (O line) will be better in 2 wks. Our line coaches are the best. They are so passionate. They are always teaching.
  12. That's the goal. We know the streak may end, but until then, we will go into every game prepared to win. No panic here. The target is on our back and we will get everybody's best. That makes for a better team come playoffs. Our schedule is the toughest in all of 1a and 2a. Roll Tide
  13. USJ should not be overly confident in any scrimmage but understand they were the better team that day. Even though we whipped USJ in a scrimmage 2 years ago, they could have very well beat us in regular season. Good luck to both teams
  14. Not trying to be disrespectful. I have this thing with private schools. One of the parents at USJ said there were faces he'd never seen. But USJ and JCS , Trinity are the only privates I can tolerate. I love our local teams. That USJ. Team faced a team in Peabody whose only concern was to work on our O line. Our coaches are only concern about fixing what is broken. Hats off to them
  15. Too bad Milan couldn't grab that stud from USJ they so desperately pursued. Lol
  16. Not right now. I've seen teams beat teams later in the season who they lost to by multiple tds earlier. With that said, USJ GOT THE CRAP BEAT OUT OF THEM by Peabody in a scrimmage 2 years ago and still made it to the Championship. My prediction, USJ WILL WIN state, Peabody will too. But it won't be easy. Private schools always have the upper hand in most years. Good luck. The only disadvantage privates have is they are now playing on the same playing field. We put 56 points on USJ b team 2 years ago. Wow, what an improvement over 2 years. Lol
  17. Ok I agree. No excuse but Peabody had to replace a 280 pound center with a 200 pounder against y'all's 297 stud (50) It was his first start at center.. It was his first time ever at center. With that said, he held his own better than expected. Plus our stud linebacker was out. The center will be back soon. If you guys stay healthy, I for see an undefeated season for USJ. GOOD LUCK THIS SEASON AND BRING HOME THE GOLD!
  18. Many NFL teams have lost all pre season games and won Superbowl. USJ is the real deal. We were disappointed but we were disappointed 43 games ago against GC. Scrimmages help make you better or it gives you a sense of false accomplishment. I will take the previous.
  19. They did run some read option but they threw the ball a lot.
  20. USJ will win state this year. Just you wait and see. Our strength for the day was our defense. We held USJ to one offensive TD and a field goal. Our QB was out of sync but USJ had a lot to do with that. He was running for his life most of the day. We had a few people out but that's no excuse. If Druggers find his second receivers, he could easily be one of the best qbs around. He has guys and he is a winner. USJ opened their play book up but we were a little bit conservative and that's understandable due to it being a scrimmage. We have more work to do, but all and all this will be a very good fb team come playoffs.
