  1. Like I said only 3 teams have held Munford to 28 or less. They scored 28 on Portland, Covington held them to 8, and Munford scored 24 on an undefeated Dyersburg team. All their other games Munford had their way offensively with opponents. If we do better than my prediction then that's GREAT!
  2. PREDICTIONS: Springfield - 35 Memphis Central - 34 Henry County - 35 Munford - 28
  3. Springfield - 35 Memphis Central - 34 I really see this being a shootout to the finish. Central has only been held under 30 points twice all season and that was just barely. The real key to this game will be can the Yellow Jacket defense step up and do what they have done the majority of the season? If they can, Springfield may win by a couple scores, but I'm going to give Central a little respect and say they will do what they've been doing all season, and that's scoring the ball. Either way you look at it this has the makings of an instant classic. JACKETS/WARRIORS LET'S GOOOO!!!!
  4. Henry County - 35 Munford - 28 I'm basing my prediction this week strictly based on the numbers. Munford has only been held to 28 or fewer points on offense in only 3 games this season. The Cougars have only allowed 1 team this season to score over 30 points and that was Covington in game 1. I still think this will be a close game either way you look at it. I have learned you better respect these type of teams like Munford has especially in the playoffs and at their home. I love the way the Patriots have been playing the last 3 weeks but this will be a good measuring stick to see "how good are we?" GO BIG RED!!!!
  5. Ok this one is for your sir Since the changes were made, here is the last 3 games averages... Henry County: Offense: 52.0 points per game Defense: 20.3 points per game
  6. I definitely noticed that, was hoping you Springfield guys would watch that, that's why I posted the Central game.
  7. Absolutely. I don't believe the coaches or players will either.
  8. Here is Munford and Henry County by the numbers: Munford: (9-2) Offense: 38.0 points per game Defense: 20.9 points per game Henry County: (6-5) Offense: 28.6 point per game Defense: 18.2 points per game
  9. I would say careful with predictions this week guys. Yes, we all love how we are playing at the moment but let's not discredit this year's Munford Cougars. Those kids look like they are flat out balling. It will take a heck of an effort by our defense to slow those boys down. Kind of reminds me of that 2019 Dyer County team with an athletic QB and a very good RB. They played Dyersburg tough and most of y'all know Dyersburg is undefeated still. Just don't sleep on them.
  10. More highlights, this is Auvic White (RB for Munford) against Memphis Central. http://www.hudl.com/v/2GFuMu
  11. Here is some highlights from Jordan Bell (QB for Munford) against Memphis Central. http://www.hudl.com/v/2GEbEM
  12. If anyone wants to see a few highlights of Munford from the Portland game... http://www.hudl.com/v/2GJhDk
  13. That part I agree with completely. Man we all go through things and just from the little I knew, he definitely has been through a lot. I probably would have acted out worse to be honest at that age. I just hope if Z reads this he knows we do love him and care about him and are pulling for him!
  14. Yeah I didn't see a bash but hey I'm just glad we are where we are with the players we have on the field. I love Z, but you know sometimes things just don't work out. I wish him nothing but the best in whatever his future holds!
  15. Yeah excited to see them play. We will have some very nice talent next year. I have always been excited for next year's teams potential!!
  16. Henry County comes off a dominant performance against the Dyer County Choctaws in round 1 of the playoffs posting a 56-21 win, while the Munford Cougars come away with a 28-27 victory in what was a nail biter over the Portland Panthers. Henry County seems to be looking like the Patriots we are all used to seeing and have put up 156 points of offense the last 3 games. Morgan Barrick has emerged as an absolute force at running back for the Patriots with 11 TDs in the last 3 games. Munford is the Region 8 champion and are going to be looking to defend their home field next Friday when the red hot Patriots come into town. Let's hear your thoughts on how you see this game turning out...
  17. Haha I remember. Heck I was maybe too hard on them now that I look back at it. Hats off to the coaching staff and players for getting this team to buy in and absolutely playing their tails off. Gosh it was nice to put up 56 on Dyer County tonight! Now that we are past DC, I will take a win anyway possible. The old saying "survive and advance," that's all we need to do from here on out. Looking forward to the matchup with the Cougars!
  18. Jackets take this one. I am not sure by how many yet. Part of me thinks it could be a good close game but then again I think Springfield's defense could come up huge again and Springfield could walk away with a 2 TD win. I'm going to check out Central more before making any real prediction.
  19. It's great to think about and hope, but we are gonna focus 110% on Munford! They are the next obstacle in our way! They are Region 8 champs and will not be taken lightly!!
  20. Morgan Barrick now has 11 TDs in the last 3 games!!!! WOW!!! That's amazing!!!!
