Agreed. Very well said. Now I think Summit will be our toughest opponent of the season because of the Wade Twins. But as we have alluded to, lots and lots of work has to be done to even be able to compete with some of the really good teams. It seems like we have taken several steps back from last year.

No doubt. They could possibly be in the state title game in 6A. They are the real deal. They have good size on both sides of the ball. The Wade Brothers are probably the best I have seen since Jalen Hurd.

And you and a couple more knows it kills me to say that but it is true. Yeah we can get better throughout the season of course but I think its going to be a far tougher season than me and a lot of others thought originally.

Ok I am friends with some of you guys and I do not care if yall get mad at me or not for this, but this is the absolute SOFTEST Henry County team I may have ever seen. Don't get me wrong Summit is definitely a beast. There just isn't any excuse for poor tackling, poor o line play, poor d line play, and just an overall very poor performance. From what I saw tonight this Henry County team is about to have its hands full the next few weeks.

If we had a good defense like we have had in years past or like back in 2018, I would probably have a prediction of HC 35 Summit 21. But our defense just looks lost at times. Idk maybe the coaches will turn things around on that side of the ball, offensively we shouldn't have much problems.

I guess we just aren't that confident with a very high powered offense coming into town against a struggling HC defense.

And I know nobody likes "moral" victories but if we can keep it close and within reach, that can only help us moving forward. Its about the big picture. Of course we all want to win every game. Thats who we are, but sometimes you run into a giant. Now we all know how football is, a bounce here or there in our favor may turn the tide. You just never know, thats why they play the game. If a small miracle was to happen and we found a way to win, our fans will go absolute nuts!! Friday nights are what we live for, let's go!!

I agree and I hate to pick against my Patriots but Summit is on another level.

Im not sure about their defense too much. Just know they have Keaten Wade on defense. Ryan Damron lit them boys up last year through the air throwing for over 300 yards. We just fell a little short because we couldn't stop them when we needed to.

I'm right there with you. I believe this game is a really high scoring game. HC won't be able to stop Summit but if we ever do get a stop and punt, we MUST capitalize on that. Would love to hear everybody's score predictions just to see where everyone is at with this game. I will start it off and as bad as I hate to say it I think Summit will be too much in this game. Oh yeah no doubt it will be another great game. Two great teams that are very similar in their approach. Looking forward to that matchup.

Most definitely as long as there are no major upsets come playoff time i think its Henry County/Powell the next 2 years for the 5A title. Just two teams absolutely loaded for the next 2 seasons.

Powell is going to be absolutely loaded. Barring any injuries, they have to be the favorite to win it all, at least on paper.

I definitely think the top spot will come down to HC/Springfield. I'm not real familiar with what all Springfield has as far as returning players and what not. Just judging by their past few seasons I would say if we was slacking that particular night they may could pull it off. So the top spot for me is a toss up (even though I like our chances.) Northeast will clearly be the #3. I don't see NE beating Springfield or HC but should take care of the rest of the region. The 4th spot for me is also a toss up between Portland and Kenwood. So all that said to basically say the same thing you did.

Yeah I think everyone is ready to see it done. Its been a long process. I knew they had ran into problems about a month or month and a half ago with the field being wetter than they originally thought it would be. It is no doubt going to take every bit of time to get it finished before football season.
