  1. Will we ever get rid of this guy? Oh wait-there's a Clemmer waiting in the wings at Eagleton, so no.
  2. The WB AD is more worried about the Creamsicle crap than he is about the crap coaching.
  3. Well, at least he might get a taste of winning on the fishing team.
  4. I'm sorta curious about the freshman Maryville transfer (Cozart). Why in the world would you transfer to WB given Maryville's success? I'm guessing it's just to get more freshman/sophomore playing time on a varsity squad? But does he stand up to the hype? As a parent, I can't imagine any circumstance in which I would think he would receive better coaching at WB than at Maryville. It just doesn't seem like a wise move to me.
  5. Nah, WB is too invested in creating that family legacy. You might as well settle in, because we will have at least four more years with little brother QB'ing the JV team. They might as well play "It's a family tradition" as the team enters the stadium.
  6. Yeah, but Archie, Peyton and Eli *WON* games.
  7. Don't mean to be rude, but can anyone tell me why WB is so invested in creating a family legacy at the quarterback position?
  8. So, you guys actually think this will hurt Alcoa? No chance whatsoever. While I don’t know the exact numbers of how many Eagleton kids now go to Alcoa, it’s got to be minimal. I’m not trying to be elitist, but realistically only the most outstanding of athletes would even have a chance to play there. Those are few and far between. Hopefully, ECCA will get this right. While most of my knowledge is in the basketball realm, what I can say is BCS does a HUGE disservice to the middle school athletes. Many of the middle school (and even some high school) coaches (from all sports) are dads (or are somehow related) to players. When you start playing daddy ball, it harms everyone. As a result, good athletes will seek out opportunities at other schools-and there are plenty around here to choose from.
  9. While it's true there are some BCS players that siphon off to Alcoa and Maryville every year, it is NOT the reason they are making ECCA a high school. Think about it. Who benefits the most? Eagleton is a feeder for Heritage. Heritage has struggled as a 6A/5A school, so if they reduce the school population, they can potentially go down a class in 2022 and *possibly* become a more competitive team. The result will be that WB remains a 6A football team, Heritage becomes a 4A team and ECCA is a 2A team (if they can fill a full team). I'll apologize in advance if someone has already made this point.
