  1. Possibly the same thing that happened when waverly went and let a below average Monterey team hang with them.
  2. Would either of those 2 stand a real chance with Alcoa in your opinion?
  3. I didn’t make the comment but if East beat the tigers then I would say Covington. I know nothing abt Covington nor dyersburg this year, but if we’re going off of history then I would say Covington for sure, and I know dyersburg beat them in the regular season in a tight ball game, I just don’t know if dyersburg could pull it off again, maybe they can, but it’s hard to beat a good team twice
  4. Haha, not by a long shot, ‘18 and ‘19 huntingdon and Davidson Academy from 2018 would wipe the floor with east.
  5. I’m thinking along the same lines. I feel east will load the box to stop the QB/RB from running all over them and make waverly win by throwing the ball, and I feel confindent that our receivers can do that, just hope Dooley has the time to throw it. East has a few really good runningbscks from what I have seen as well. Should be a really fun game.
  6. Those stats don’t include Fridays game
  7. Has he always been a QB or has he played other RB/WR any?
  8. I will indeed admit that Blackburn is doing a magnificent job at QB, I think he’s just such a good athlete that he can do it.
  9. No but if we really go off of stats he’s the better player. Even if it’s not based off stats, he’s still better than Blackburn, better QB, better at reading a defense, better at running the ball as well, taking in account that every game had been a road game and he’s still been able to play at a high level. Plus had to miss the second game of the season.
  10. Jacob Dooley has 29 passing tds and 2 interceptions. He also has 16 rushing tds and 0 fumbles. This is also while missing the second game of the season due to flood and bye week.
  11. Jacob Dooley of Waverly and Ranen Blackburn of White House have finished as semi finalist for 3a Mr. Football. Both young men have had tremendous seasons. Congratulations to both.
  12. And I’m not here to stir the pot, just hoping to see both teams in the quarters, one game at a time tho
  13. And since that game at Nissan, number 15, 9, and 34 all have 7 touchdowns receptions, and the defense is on a completely new level right now. Waverly has no excuse for the performance at Nissan. Pitiful defense in terms of reading their keys and execution was pathetic on offense, and White House still won by 2 points. White House has gained respect from me, they’re the real deal. The waverly squad is on a whole different level than the rest of the region right now. Good luck to BDP in the playoffs. Hoping maybe a team from the region can pull it off and win the west.
  14. Would y’all best station camp if y’all played again? Are y’all better than station camp?
  15. Everybody wants to knock of the team that beat them in the season if they get a second chance, LOLOL!! Good luck to all teams tonight and safe travels and game play to all!
  16. I know I picked the tigers over Fairview 42-28 but I’m not sure abt it. The tigers have had the tendency to come out slow the past few games. When they get rolling it’s hard to stop them, but if they come out the way they did against cheatham, they could be down quick vs the jackets.
  17. I think the key play will be on the oline. Waverly has got to get the wrs catching. 34 had been catching consistently with the exception of Nissan stadium. 9 has consistent hands, 7 is struggling catching the ball and 15 has finally gotten rolling, he hasn’t been targeted much up until late and he caught 4 td passes last night, if they get them all rolling at the same and then defense keeps balling out, waverly should be victorious. I’m gonna take waverly 42-28
  18. This game never fails to have 70+ total points scored as well. These 2 schools have been playing against each other in all sports in jr and highschool so they’ve played against each other since jr pro days as well.
  19. When you have the injury bug going around, it takes great coaching and surprise schemes, I know that Fairview is a very good coaching staff, you guys will be ready, I expect a very good ball game.
  20. Playoffs are very very and concern me a little bit. When you travel far your team had to bring their own energy when the fans lack energy. Waverly lacked energy in the early stages of the game. They closed the second qtr and the rest of the game out with fiery energy. They can’t wait until late second qtr/early third qtr against good teams (white house/Fairview) specifically Bc they’re in our region. I could be wrong but I’m hoping that White House will pop back up on our schedule in the next few weeks lol
  21. Man I hate to hear that for y’all, y’all had a great team rolling until injuries. I for one said I thought y’all were down, and y’all indeed were not down. I wish for fast recoveries for y’all’s injuries. I hate hearing abt kids getting hurt. As for waverly, they will indeed be playing playoff games away, I don’t really see a way for them to get them home field playing time. There were talks early abt trying to get the field up and going but it never happened. I believe it was because there’s so much other stuff that needed repair in the town overall before they could get to the stadium. They had a brand new fence built abt 2 weeks after the flood but it hasn’t been touched since. I haven’t heard differently yet, but they will definitely be playing away all playoffs as of now.
  22. Agree, we get to see which is the tougher squad this week
