Everything that could go wrong for tyner in that state championship went wrong. And they still won. Clay Co wouldn’t have even hosted a playoff game if they were in 2A and they competed with McKenzie a lot better than i thought they would. McKenzie may beat Tyner. Fayetteville no.

If Fayetteville would've beat McKenzie they would've won State as well. I believe both McKenzie and Fayetteville would've beat Tyner, and gave Alcoa a better game than most of their W's. In fact both probably would've beat E. Nashville. I'm not taking anything away from Tyner, or E. Nashville. I'm try to explain how dominant 1A was. The only reason Clay Co. played us as close as they did was because they knew we were the formidable team. They milked the clock to keep the our offense off the field.

I did say size didn’t I ? Do you think  30 sees the field ? I mean what I say . Mckenzie , a 2A team despite what people want to believe ,  will most likely win the region and lose early in the playoffs . Tate will not win Mr Football, won’t even come close  .

Just answer my question, what week do they exit? 30 what??? I can't comprehend what you're trying to say.

  3. "Lil run in the playoffs", not sure what you mean? 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th round?  When do you think the Rebels will exit the playoffs? As for Lexington we usually beat them in the scrimmage every year. Last time that it was close was in 2019 or 2020. As for their size, and numbers, I counted 64 dressed for them. Their lineman were definitely bigger than ours.

Friday August 5th at 6:00 pm McKenzie will scrimmage the Lexington Tigers at McKenzie. This scrimmage will be a bit tougher than last Fridays at McNairy. Hopefully there will be no injuries for either team. The Rebels O line will will have some big shoes to fill if were gonna make a run this year! Go Rebels!!!

Correction.... Game time is 5:30 at the Middle School field! Go Rebels!

Firstly, Mckenzie isn’t even in SF’s region. Secondly you may be right , but you can’t claim stats as the reason as he hasn’t even played yet . SF’s QB broke records last year as a Sophomore

You're right, SF is no longer in Region 6 1A. I responded on this thread because of the title, " Region 6 1A." You probably need to start a new thread, and maybe title it Region 7 1A, it'll probably work a little bit better when talking best QB in the Region.

Absolutely, that’s a very tough region, and a hard one to gauge at the 4th spot . SF has what I think is probably the best QB in that region and a JR class who has largely all started since Freshman . Gleason returns key players as well.

McKenzie Rebels #14 Tate Surber by his stats will prove that he's the best QB in the Region. The only QB in the West that has a chance at better stats than him would be Moore County's #6 Dawson White.

  8. McKenzie Rebels vs Huntingdon Mustangs. Imo it's one of the best HS football rivalrys. This rivalry has been going on for years, and it's a cross county rivalry. This year's game will be as big as years past. It will be a great game, Go Rebels!!!

I was told  - Mckenzie outscored Humboldt , Milan, Crockett Co and was outscored by USJ in the 7on 7's. The person I talked to close to the Mckenzie program did not mention South Side.

The first 7vs7 was held at Crockett County's new turf field. Where Fayette Academy and Humboldt also participated. McKenzie outscored all of them opponents. The 2nd 7vs7 was Held at Milan with McKenzie, USJ, and South Side participated. McKenzie outscored all except for USJ. McKenzie for some reason pulled first string out and put in their second string against USJ.

I was not mentioned but 3 new kids?  I have only heard about 1. Did I miss something? Who are the others?

I also heard mention that a few that played a lot the last several years didn’t come out this season at all.

My mistake just 1 new and 3 players returning that made all state.

  11. Coaches come and go all the time. We as a community hate to see Coach Benson (Milan), and Coach Cobb(Trenton) leave because they had a great rapport with the kids. With the recent success of the Rebels comes new job opportunities for the supporting staff. Now the new Coach is in place and building a firm foundation for the future. How do you think picking up Coach Benson will affect y' all's program @BIGPURPLEMACHINE

It will be interesting to see what kind of numbers he can put up this year. Unfortunately for him, he was not utilized correctly last year. Cook and McMahon will have that corrected this year! We just need our starting line to stay  and injury free to give him the opportunities.

Is Conersville's RB a Senior this year? Does he currently have any offers?
