I’m pretty sure I recall hookfin tried several times to get Covington on our schedule with no luck. This was back when Covington had the coach that left for Cleveland. My opinion Haywood should have Covington, Ripley and Dyersburg on their schedule every year.

I wish Dyersburg wasn’t scared of competition. No excuse for them not to keep Haywood on their schedule.Bart Stowe would rather play an easy schedule and have a good regular season record then go out early in the playoffs than play stiff competition and make a real playoff run.

I agree with everything said here. I am looking for a big season from the Tomcats

I thought offensively our o line didn’t play very good. Our qb,rb #25,wr#3 played good and I expect big things from them this year. I would like to see #15 on offense more often. Have him lined up opposite #3 will be tough for opposing teams to stop. Defensively, we looked pretty good up front. Our secondary has some work to do, didn’t look very good back there. I also thought it was apparent we hadn’t had many scrimmages and Henry County looked like they had. I think we will be fine, Henry County is a very good team, their qb was dropping some dimes. I wish we had them on our schedule. Playing teams like that is what helps us come playoff time, not oakhaven and lake county. No disrespect to either of those programs

For those voicing concerns over the lack of a booster club for Haywoods football team that’s wanting to donate/contribute it’s actually pretty simple. Write a check made out to Haywood High School memo to football. Either take it to the front office and give to Jordan Clagg who will give it to Mrs. Karen, or just mail it to the school.
