  1. What a game!! I'm just going to say this... #5 and 9 are good players for Meigs but 5 is very undisciplined, freshman or not. Meigs should of had more penalties for holding and hittin after the whistle, it was bad, but West eld their cool good. I'm just gonna say it, Meigs wouldn't have been able to do nothin if they hadn't changed up and started double teaming #64 even then wasn't able to do much with him, he was taking the Meigs line with him and still makin plays, that boy was eating y'alls lunch and coming back for seconds, I loved it. 58 and 60 was doing some great blocking and made some big plays on D these boys were on mission. I was glad to see West letting 27 run the ball, I have missed seeing him all year and those that hadn't seen him before now know why I did. That boy will run through a brick wall and is tough as leather. West QB is too, he will hit you like you stole somethin from him. I loved seeing 5 and 25 getting some passes,do it a little more West, them boys can catch! Tyner better start now eatin some beans and taters, they gonna need em to play with these tough boys. West is some cornbread fed good 'ol country boys who just love to play ball, they will hit ya in the mouth like you said somethin about their momma. I don't think you will find a harder hittin team or one any tougher than these boys! Good job West!
  2. Congrats to West! I watched it on tv and looked like the players had a good time. Always nice to WIN! Line did better, but they didn't have a challenge infront of them. The ends were blocking better than they have all year, nice to see players in that weren't afraid to do some good blocking. #20 makes me smile when he gets in the game (he plays ball like players did back in the day) boy on a mission to put a hurtin on somebody. Along with #19 he little but looks like lightnin in a bottle. Both run hard, hit a hole, and fight for every inch when they touch the ball. I'm just sayin what needs to be corrected for the boys to win. Shouldn't make nobody upset. It's laughable to me somebody wanna get mad over someone saying what needs to be done to get better. Im gonna say you young by the way you offended by truth. Truth makes people better and helps us be better if we smart enough to listen to it. West is still sloppy on offense and that's the Truth. Coaches need to fix it plain and simple.
  3. Looked to me like the Coach was scared of the Title Game which is why he quit on his boys in the last 40-50 seconds of play. I'm gonna say that had a huge impact on how they felt going into the Whitehouse game. If your coach don't believe in the team how are the players supposed to. Wonder how the parents felt about that? I went to that game and it got pretty heated during that time and should have. If you watch your line they are doing what they are told to do, go to the 2nd level and don't worry about the 1st man. I have also counted in other games where your qb had 7 sec back there to make a decision and did not do it. That come from getting comfortable with it in practice. I know y'all don't want to believe it but offense is sloppy and sloppy comes from not enough practice, if you have ever played ball you know it. Ask yourself why the defense does as good as it does but the offense doesn't and never has.
  4. Well looks like West has given a bad coach several years to try to show something and he aint never been able to do it y'all been dealing with for a bad coach for several years yourselves. If coaches aren't doing their JOB they should get fired like everyone else who doesn't do their job they are getting paid for. Like I said , the boys won those games by having a no quit attitude, not the coach. They didn't get their fierceness from their coach either he has no excitement in him and quit on his team in the ER game, good coaches don't do that. As for the other you just proved my point on " you don't teach them to" You are right coaches don't teach them to do any of those things, GOOD coaches correct all those mistakes before games through countless hours of practicing your offense so they are confident in what they are doing and know where to run and who to follow. I'm no keyboard hero, but I know football and what a coach should or shouldn't do. Doesn't look like West has had any good coaching on offense and anyone who knows anything about football can see that. Defense has had somebody working with them and it shows. Everyone should be looking at what the bad is so you can correct it. Doesn't look like the coach knows enough to do it.
  5. Don't look like he spends more than the bare minimum on coaching them. From what I am seeing and hearing. Jumping off sides, taking the last 40 seconds or so in a big game ( district championship) and holding the ball instead of running a play, fumbling, a qb who could be awesome if he had someone who had coached him, backs who don't know how to hit a hole, no stats taken or turned in on players to show them their success, no film being watched to see what needs to be corrected, improved, and changed. All of this tells me he's not wanting to put in what's needed to win as a coach, he's there to get a paycheck or knows somebody who keeps his job for him! I am just calling it like I see it.
  6. I met some of these boys this year at a game middle school game. Several of them were working the press box. Great group of young guys. I left there a fan of those boys. They have character and the flicker in their eyes as they talked about football. It's been a long time since I've seen such an incredible group of young men. They told me about working in the hay fields to get stronger throughout the summer and multiple other things they did to be the best! Brought me back to a time when players were hard workers and tough as steel. Great job parents of these boys I know they are going to go far in life. I hate there season has turned out how it has but it's not over keep pushing and encouraging these boys. Now as far as the season of football goes. I agree with Postman. I have no kid on that field, if I did I would not be happy with the coaching these boys have been given. First off, NO EXCITEMENT the coach would have been fired where I come from for that very first game. Coaches have to get teams hype and motivated, these coaches act like they at a funeral the whole game, nobody gonna get pumped with them coaches. I looked up this coach past season record and was shocked thinking, he gets paid to coach and hasn't done any better than this year in all his years of coaching. I have no idea why they are keeping him around as a coach. Probably has a buddy in the administration, no other place would keep him to even coach peewee. The only reason West has done as well as they against other teams is because they have great players who are trying to do whatever it takes to WIN with little offensive help from their coach, actually he is killing them. I see a team who has played a tough schedule and have a coach who gave up on them in the ER game these boys are exhausted from being beat up and the coach not helping them. If that was my kids coach after ER game I would have been talking with administration about getting him out , you don't teach kids to quit. He has players who can do more but doesn't use them and refuses to throw a ball unless it's when it is either a last resort end of the game or not needed, which is why Whitehouse got a safety on them. Spread out the offense, bud and put the players in that play the spot the best not those who can't. Postman is right about he guys on the line, they have to get 1st man, this team is not going to win the big games EVER when having linemen let someone go and trying to get the 2nd guy. They are doing what they are told to do but it's Killin 'em. Last 2 games especially when a coach sees a team has everyone stacked in a box and doesn't make any adjustments, it's almost like he is wanting to lose or knows nothing about the game. Backs need practice running a ball and holding on to it, that along with the play calling killed them against ER. Whitehouse made adjustmentslike a coach should and won. What I'm seeing with West is a coach who don't seem to care much about his team.
  7. Hmmmmmm... the only 3 that get to touch the ball that would hurt West by not being there is 20, 19, 16 and they don't let them touch it enough or they would have a scary offense. Hoping to see 27 touching the ball in this game. If he does and is as good as last year, he'll be getting some looks not D1 but he definitely has potential to go somewhere.
  8. If west can continue the offensive play calling they've had the last couple of games they will be solid. But, If it's the same as it was last year and the beginning of this season it won't be pretty! Good play calling and a solid RB is what West offense is missing. #27 was a solid RB last season why has he not touched the ball? He plays on defensive.
  9. If all goes as it should West will win big! If so work on mixing up offensive plays for the next game.
