I think Davis and Reynold have to be on their game to compete with good teams. If they are both hot they can beat anyone. If one is off then anything could happen. McEwen is a pretty good team but I bet one of those girls had an off night.

Looking at the top ten from last year, I'm curious what teams bring back this year. 1A - I feel like Waynesboro starts out as the favorite in 1A if they didnt loose much. McKenzie will still be good but you can't replace what they loss last year and expect to be as good, Even with Davis healthy. Sounds like several more took a small step back due to graduating starters in the top ten. I think a couple will go deeper this year. Sounds like Pickett County and South Fulton will be bringing everyone back. 2A - McMinn, Gibson County, and Gatlingburg are my 2A favorites. I dont think the McMinn team lost much. They played SF for the Junior high championship a few years ago. That same team is seniors now. 3A - I saw 3A Jackson South Side play this summer. Looked like they lost some from last year's championship game. Not sure if Upperman or LS lost anything. 4A - Bradley and Bearden 4A. Not sure If Bartlett lost anyone from last years team either

Big game for District 7 Friday night as well. South Fulton at Dresden. Should be a good one and will determine the top spot in district for the season. I believe WCMT radio is covering it.

South Fulton 66 Dresden 56 last night. I so wanted to call out South Fulton as a class A sleeper at the begining of this thread at least in West Tn. I watched them beat 2 of the final 4 teams last year with sophmores and freshman. Second round just getting started and anything can happen but one if not both SF and Dresden teams could make it to state.

1A - McKenzie But on a side note though, they are 5-3, lost their last 2 games and have several key injuries. Theyre still good but if Davis comes back I'll agree 100%. I think there's a couple of sleepers getting better and will make a run at the end. 2A - I'd 100% agree with WV I watched them play McKenzie. Talented group 3A - I havent seen SS play yet several coacht'ers would agree 4A - no idea
