  1. Would have loved to see Fulton vs Indy. I'm a homer, but don't believe any public school would'a stopped Independence from getting gold. They had a downslide mid point of season but were beating good teams soundly down the stretch.
  2. What you said CASC, I've had the pleasure of watching Jett since he was a sophomore. Watched a lot of games next to his dad. Always played with heart and class. They didn't forget falling short last year, worked extremely hard. Very proud of my high school today.
  3. Nothing but class here bro. Cookeville good team and their fans showed out today. But a few on this board dismissing what I was saying bout Indy will not lose it twice. I'm here to cash out. All In good fun
  4. As long as we're all here tmrw to answer for our predictions lol. Personally, would be an absolute heartbreaker for Indy to lose. It's been a long two years coming for this one
  5. they'll play the game tmrw, we'll find out. Indy fell in the final last year, I don't see jett n company letting it happen twice.
  6. Indy by double digits tmrw.
  7. Jett Montgomery (IHS). Has averaged in the 20's PPG throughout his career since he was a Sophomore. Teams have keyed on him, still cannot slow him down..very smart kid, high IQ, exposes defenders weaknesses.
  8. No twisting of facts bro. Maybe I can give an example that hits closer to home. Let's say UT, a possible projected 1 seed based on their body of work, lost in the quarterfinal of the SEC tourney to a solid team like a Miss St. UT would miss the NCAA tournament. This is the TSSAA setup.
  9. Imagine if the NCAA tournament were seeded entirely based on how you finish in your conference tournament; it would be a sham; teams projected as high seeds based on their body.of work throughout the season would be left out if they were to lose an early conference tournament game. This is exactly how TSSAA is setting up their tournament.
  10. Either way, if you're going to send 4 teams from a district, do away with district tourney and advance the top 4 finishers from the regular season. Make the regular season actually count. District tournaments are played on neutral courts there is no seeding advantage, especially when in competitive districts anyone can upset anyone in a one game scenario.
  11. I'm at a misunderstanding with some of y'all. Indy played in their DISTRICT TOURNAMENT last year against Brentwood, nolensville, and then ravenwood. Those were games for the DISTRICT tournament which Indy won and then moved on to play Hillsboro for regional title which was seeding for sub-state.. This year Indy wins the District and is then seeded to play Lincoln County 6-23 while 4 other teams from the district also advanced.
  12. IDK if those in this thread followed last year. My alma mater (Indy) won the district tournament last season and immediately went to play Hillsboro for a regional champ to determine seeding for state tourney. 4 teams from each district did not advance. And honestly, could care less about how it's been done in the past. Reward the totality of the regular season or reward teams for how they play in a 4 day tournament??
  13. TSSAA Tournament setup for 2024 AAAA basketball is a complete cash grab; they should be ashamed. Post-season seeding was based on how teams finished in their district tournaments, rendering the entire regular season meaninigless. A team like Centennial finishes 3rd (10-4) in regular season in a very competitive region 10 but is upset in the first round of a single-game district tournament and misses out on post season play? First round Independence is playing a 6-23 Lincoln County team? Last year, the single district champ moved on to sub-state; a way more efficient model.
  14. disappointing from the Independence perspective. First time this season Center #31 could not establish himself in the paint. Partly cause foul trouble and partly because #11 from Overton is a beast. It's been a heck of a ride this season. Think our guys put on a show Friday (a little out of their minds almost) and couldn't follow it up today. Memphis Overton got the size, length, athleticism, and executed a good game plan for Indy; well- deserved.
