I see this region falling like this. Oliver Springs takes the Region Championship with Coalfield placing a close 2nd with Midway and Harriman coming in 3rd and 4th with Wartburg coming in 5th followed by Oakdale and Sunbright then Jellico and Rockwood. Coalfield is ranked 419th out of 421 total teams for the 2024 season. We rank as the third lowest from the bottom in the entire division. Overall Record: 4-12 Coached by Head Coach Shelley Burgess and Assistants Brayden Burgess and Jeremy Shannon. Why do we struggle so bad with basketball?

Sweetwater needs to scrimmage Coalfield. We will beat up on the tamecats.

Coalfield will mop the floor with the Indians again this year. The tribe just can't deal with a yellow jacket nest.

Coalfield has always pulled athletes from surrounding counties, especially in the county. When I went there we would call players by where they came from. So if you were from Wartburg, we called you Hey Wartburg, or wherever you were from. This is no secret.

This is a great hire. This is not who I heard was interested; he must have become interested later in the process but look for big things out of Sweetwater.

Very good team this year but I dont think they make it to state. Not enough depth.

Bearden has a really good coach and talent pool.

Most kids that play for Coalfield arent originally from Coalfield thats the beauty of it. We win with all your alls talent Losing draws losers and everyone wants to be apart of wins and lets be honest when your the only school in the county with winning sports programs it takes care of its self.
