  1. Actually my last name aint start with a C. I just did that to throw people off. I know Joey Carter too, and if you know the kid too you should know better than to think he'd say anything remotely aggressive. I see you're still intent on insulting me rather than admit DB football is trash. DB is currently Science Hill's doormat.
  2. Yea lemme know when DB wins a state championship. I transferred and won one. Get your head out of your ####. Amazing how football players transfer from DB and get D1 offers, yet DB's only D1 recruit in recent years is Jet Harris. He was recruited by Air Force, who only recruits at an FCS level. You Kingsport fans are probably the most delusional on the site. Current coaches can't even beat their own rival, let alone the fact that you'll never be more than Maryville's doormat. There's really no excuses for the coaches' poor performance, but good on you for ignoring the topic and making it all about defending the good ole boy system that achieves nothing. And no, mediocrity is not an achievement. You idiots shoulda hired Sean Witten not some washed up 60 year old and his motley crew.
  3. Beating West Ridge isn't impressive. If they don't win by at least 40 DB is mediocre at best.
  4. I'd say most of the country is similar except for uppity white(or black female) liberals from well to do parts of coastal areas. Crazy how we let that small vocal minority seem larger than they are.
  5. Agreed. It's more of an interior vs coastal regions now I think. Impressive football teams in Indiana it seems. 1. Southeast is more protestant 2. We forced the religious teams that would be an issue into their own division. 3. Tennessee has long been full of mostly poor whites, thus less development outside of Nashville(Titans and MTSU) and Knoxville(Vols). Lot of our counties barely have anybody in em either.
  6. I don't think barely beating a mediocre at best DB team is impressive. Taking West in this one.
  7. Jeff County has the opportunity to upset SH like they did DB. Barring Maryville or somebody like that entering R1 again, Jeff County might have the opportunity to win a region 1 title one of these years with both DB and SH being mediocre. And of course West Ridge being new and Mo sucking. Doubt they will let William Blount stay in the region. Too much of a cupcake division.
  8. Alcoa won by 3, but Bearden certainly looked competitive. Certainly better than when they got whooped by a R1 team in back to back to years. That was pathetic.
  9. I think the issue is they don't have any particular athletes at running back or wide receiver most years. The closest they got were the kids they had in 2020 and 2019, but they weren't enough to win state. They need to be more balanced because they don't have that X factor player when it comes to actual good teams(which WR is prolly not). Not sure why they don't pass the ball down the field more.
  10. DB, like most R1 teams, is too slow to get in a track meet with anybody. But unlike, say Boone, it is more due to failure to pull athletes out of the school.
  11. Betsy is relevant yes but until the others make it past Maryville in the playoffs I'm not calling the other two relevant. Also, no DB has never had balls under the current staff calling offense or defense. They play a conservative brand of football.
  12. Maybe a change in coaching staff.
  13. Games I've seen in and played in recent years DB vs SH seems SH mostly just comes out five wide or similar and passes most of the game. SH seems to have its offensive line in line in recent years. It's not that Science Hill fears DB's run defense; it's that they know their coverage always sucks.
  14. DB has shown they know how to destroy wing T teams. Really shows the old age of the coaching staff given their failures against more modern-offense teams like Science Hill or Farragut.
  15. Measuring sticks are hard for this one. Dobyns-Bennett has been on a decline starting in the 2021 season. They failed to capitalize on great athletes in the 2019 and 2020 seasons. This year they lost to a below average Farragut team, but they tied a good Greenville team. West Ridge curb stomped Volunteer, but that doesn't really say much. They beat Daniel Boone who is probably similar to DB this year. Much like their later games against Jeff County, and unlike their later games against Science Hill, both teams prolly match well against each other. Thinking a close game, but since West Ridge is a new program I'm giving DB the edge.
  16. Picking Bearden because a close loss to Science Hill is nothing compared to a close loss to Alcoa or Knox West. Alcoa wins the state championship every year and science hill exits in round 1.
  17. The last time they actually scheduled good non district games which would be 2018.
  18. I won't say 35-7 but I'll go Greeneville 21-7
  19. Bearden team reminds me of DB team from 2019 and 2020 who played Alcoa that year. I reckon Bearden will lose by around the same margin as those two DB teams with their offense scoring 0. Maybe they will get a pick 6 or something.
  20. DB will still find a way later this year to make Science Hill's qb and wrs look like future NFL hall of famers.
  21. Yea I suppose everyone except the Farragut fanbase must be clueless. You're a joke!
  22. It's not disrespectful when parents or other relatives of students who go there found out Farragut football team came(not in a good way) on a cracker and then the last person had to eat it. Might js been a bunch of 2nd and 3rd stringers, but that is still disgraceful.
  23. I only listed top players I remembered. Georgia, UT, and Alabama offered players are noteworthy. Marshall/Troy/MTSU is not. GA tech/Maryland/Louisville is not. Florida/Arkansas/Louisville offered not bad but not great either. I'm sure IMG has plenty more D1 players who are actually going to schools that recruit well, let alone the ones that don't. Same with Mater Dei.
  24. Taking Alcoa but am interested to see how Ravenwood does. Nashville football been down for a while now(not saying all of Middle TN calm down Oakland fans. Nashville has more private schools than anybody and still manages to lose to Chattanooga teams a lot of years as well.)
