  1. I've understood that all college coaches, or athletic departments WILL respond, either by letter or phone call to inquiry letters by athletes interested in playing baseball for their program. I'm trying to gain infomation concerning contacts made, vs non-response issues. (Thanks in advance for any help.)
  2. Aaron Bristol (Bradley Central) 3B/IF/P
  3. 5AAA Bradley Central's Aaron Bristol should be considered for BOP candidate. 1 of 6 members from Bradley to make all district team. Pitched no-hitter, and is an outstanding infielder, with great game skills, and attitude. Would make a good addition for colleges looking for skilled mentally tough players.
  4. Congrats to all the teams listed in the power poll, good luck in the tournaments, and college possibilities! I've enjoyed reading about ALL the good teams and games this past season. Everyone in the area should be very proud of those young men!
  5. Congrats to the Bradley Central Bears for a GREAT season, and six members named to All District Team: Taylor Vaughn, Robbie McIntire, Aaron Bristol, Jonathan Cope, Tyler Geren, and Chad Slifco! Good Luck in the post-season! "WINNING" is NOT a sometime thing!
  6. Nice job Bears!!! Been hearing GOOD things about team-work, and unity. Keep it up, and you will be surprised how many people notice. Notice how it doesn't take a lot of bombs to win games? They will come with solid contact when you least expect it, but base hits, base hits, base hits, and good solid defense by the WHOLE unit will win games more times than bombs! Take a look at the score book to date! Good Luck
  7. If you mean Bradley Bears, last nights game was rained out, rescheduled for today.
  8. HITTHEBULL, My Bad!. I probably got it started asking about hitting a player instead of challenging him, or just walking the guy. I'm sure the Mac Attack is a REALLY GOOD player. You don't get all this attention without being able to back it up. I should have worded my reply different I guess so I did not sound like I was bashing him. I'll try to remember this in the future.
  9. Don't know about graduates, and did not see it, but read article on clevelandbanner.com about outcome. Looked like bradley had several errors but scrapped enough to win. That's just my interpretation of the line scores though. Seems to be a little belly-aching about loosing by Soddy supporters cause their ace got beat.
  10. Ya know, the good pitchers never get upset, they just find the strike zone that is being called, and EXPAND IT from there. Heard Greg Maddux say that, thought it was pretty profound. If there is never a call that changes the outcome of a game, it is won or lost between the ears of the 18 players between the foul lines! Baseball is a THINKING game, and whether anybody believes it, the team that wants to win bad enough will find a way to win.
  11. I agree with the three runs, just doesn't seem like baseball if ya got to hit every teams good hitters, and hope somebody else gets him in. What happened to the challenge? Pitcher vs. Hitter Go at'em with your best stuff, and if he hits ya, he wins that one. Can't happen every time. Law of averages!
  12. Why is there all the hype for Mac Attack? I heard the Bristol kid sent a couple of long fouls over the fence, then flied out to the warning track. Next (2) times up Mac hit him, then walked him on the fourth trip. That's what scouts are looking for?
