Indy v. Ravenwood Final = 1-1 1-0 at the half in favor of Indy. Ravenwood scored with 8 minutes left in the game. Goals by Ben Gaines (Indy) and Will Moorad (Ravenwood) Fun game to watch. Independence won the first half... Ravenwood won the second.

I mean no disrespect to Spring Hill... but come on... they can't compete with many schools in TN. They aren't even listed in the Top 30 rankings here on the Messageboard (which I agree with). Their schedule is very weak. They will lose to: Columbia Academy (3-1) Independence (6-0) Fairview (2-1)

Disagree totally. The score reflected very well the game. I'm not going to argue with Indy or CHS, but from the game I watched, Indy looked better. Don't let it get to you Indy. Win a few more games and then you can start talking, but until then, congrats.

about the indy-brentwood game, i say it was a fluke.... brentwood shot nearly 85 percent in the first three quarters and over 75 for the game, and only won by 6. usually if a good team shoots that well, they'll blow out the team they're playing... not taking away from brentwood, just saying that unless that shoot that well all the time, i don't think they can hang with the big boys.

shoemaker is on the girls' team at brentwood, but the guys probably did have about 10-12 three pointers.

Wow, what an exciting district!! Currently (if you see the rankings that are posted on the board) we have: Brentwood #1 Franklin #5 Centennial #15 Ravenwood #17 Independence #20 It's a shame that they all can't be in the State tournament, because I think they all could beat most of the teams in the state! ALL these teams should move up in the rankings this week (excepts Brentwood who will move down, and Franklin will stay about the same.) My prediction: Brentwood #2 Franklin #5 Centennial #9 Ravenwood #14 (tie) Independence #14 (tie)

A few years ago it made (a little) sense to split the district because Independence was a new team, so they were put on the side of "weaker" teams. The "real" reason behind the split was so that Brentwood/Franklin wouldn't have to waste a game playing Hillsboro/Overton (I mean no disrespect to those teams!) And so that Hillsboro/Overton wouldn't get massively defeated 12-0 against those stronger teams. I think it's time to have 1 "real" district again. Ravenwood and Independence aren't young teams anymore. The are both contenders in the most competitive district in the state!

Blair Gavin is moving and won't be at Ravenwood. You need to add Moises Sixtos (Independence) to your list.

ravenwood hasn't won a game yet this year. how are they #20? just curious, not trying to dis the guy who ranks. If a team hasn't proven they can beat anyone, I don't think they should be in the top rankings. doesn't matter who they played, whether hard or not. thoughts?

USN's fields need to be looked at... they have 3 fields and during their tournament ALL of them might not even be 100 yards!! I counted one of them at 95 yards by 55 yards!! Crazy! The keepers could punt the ball from one 18 box to the other 18 box! It changes the way teams play... I wish there was a standard (minimum that was inforced) because could you imagine if football games were different from field to field? Or baseball's 1st, 2nd, 3rd, base were various lengths?

USN lost 3 starters in the last 7 days... (not to take anything away from Franklin) USN's starting goalie went out the night before against FRA. Another starter went out earlier in the week (I think in Tuesdays game). Another starter went out with an ACL a few weeks ago. USN has had some bad luck.
