Does anyone know the score to the Ripley game?

Covington has not been playing that well the last three weeks of the season and the only games they seem to win is with Tyler pitching. They have been doing some uncharacteristic things for a Covington team. The boys know how to play but I do not think that Geno is doing much coaching. It looks like if it is close or they are down by 4 or 5 runs Geno does not say anything to them.

I do not think that Ripley can beat Covington 3 times in a row in two weeks. Although I would like Ripley to win it does not really matter because both of them are going to sub-state

I think that Munford will prevail tonight because they are playing better now than they have all season so I hear.

I to think that it will be a very close game but unfortunately I think that Covington will win. It seems to me that the only games they win now is for Mathis and that is who will be pitching tonight.

Congratulations! to Ripley. They played pretty well through the tournament with some breaks along the way. Good luck in the next round.

It was 8 to 4 with Brighton having 6 errors and Ripley scoring one earned.

If Mathis would have pitched I do not know that the outcome would have been very different but I do know that Ripley would have not scored eight runs and if they do not scor the eight runs then they would have been a little more tight on defense and at the plate. This is not taking anything away from McAdams he did pitch a good game.

Brighton and Covington are supposed to play tomorrow. If Brighton wins by at least four runs then they will be number one in the district and if not everything will stay the same.

Josh Liles is a very strong player and has been the starting catcher on the Varsity since the 8th grade. The only thing is he is a 17 year old sophmore. The Gant kid may be a freshman, but most freshmen I know are only 14 and turning 15 not 16 going to be a 17 year old sophmore

Im sorry! I was not thinking correctly. I was trying to do things at once. Milan is a very good team and could possibly win state again this year.

Germantown is definitlely not one of the best teams in the state. They blew a ten run lead against Munford the other night. In the West it is Houston, Collierville, Covington, Cordova, and Christian Brothers.

That was a good game last night at Ripley. It came down to the last at bat. ALthough I though Conrad threw harder than what he did last night. It looked at about the 4th inning his arm was hurting because on some pitches his arm would just dangle down to the side. I think he has pitched way too much this year. Why pitch him against Haywood and Fayette other than to pad his stats.

If I was Brighton I would want Conrad or Mcadams to pitch because if they win they can say they beat the best Ripley had. If someone else pitches then everyone can say that you faced a nobody and were supposed to beat him.

does anyone know who won the game Saturday between Covington and Parkway South

I think that it will be a pretty close game. It will not be a blowout. Ripley may have the upper hand if Conrad pitches. If he does not then I think it is a toss-up.

Brighton and Ripley play tonight and tomorrow which will probably decide the 2nd and 3rd seeds in the district. Who do you think is going to win.

The other night I was at a ballgame and the visiting team refused to shake the hand of the home team after the game. The home team was yelling and screaming for their teammates, but never said a derogatory statement to any player of the opposing team. I thought that is what sports is about cheering and rooting each other on. Everywhere else that I have been the teams yell and cheer for their team and no one has said a word or done anything about it. What do you all think.

They have 5 Juniors that played for the Mudcats. One of the sophmores is at Brighton and the other is at USJ. They all pretty muched just stepped in and started playing Varsity as Freshmen

I think that Covington should go undefeated this year because they have the best line up 1-9 that I have seen. Mathis is a dominant pitcher that hits his spots. Burdette does not throw all that hard ,but he puts the ball where he want to like Tom Glavine. I think they have a chance to go undefeated because Milan has fallen off in the last couple of weeks. I just think that they should play a tougher schedule. They do not play houston or collerville and cbhs.

I think that the TPX Warriors are very good bats. The ball just explodes of the bat. The best bat ever though would have to be the old red and gray Easton Redlines. If you hit one solid with that bat you did not even know that you touched the ball. It had the most pop of any bat.

I think with Conrad on the mound they are very tough to beat. If Mcadams and Conrad are hitting they are tough, but other than that I do not think that they should contend for the state tournament

Has anyone seen Covington play this year. They are looking very tough. They have two good pitchers and are crushing the ball. The only weakness is they do not play a very tough schedule throughout the year.
