Hats off to both teams. I thought Westview played extremely hard and Dresden stepped it up and made big plays when they needed to.

I have no idea why there is even a thread on this topic. This game is more than two weeks away. Dresden is looking ahead to no one.

Dresden knows that Westview is a very good football team. No one actually FROM Dresden has ever said anything otherwise. Just some flamers on the board trying to stir up some crap as usual. I wish they would all go away. iIlook for a good, competitive, hard fought game from both squads.

Also, isn't it a shame how some idiots can get on to a public board and destroy it's original purpose, that is, to talk intelligently about sports. I wish there was a better way to control who can and cannot post on this board.

I'm here to tell you that Westview is good, probably the best 0-5 team in the state. Look at some of the teams they have lost to and their records. Crockett Co., Milan, Obion Co. Huntingdon. Their starting TB is back and they have excellent skill people.

It is so easy to hide behind a moniker on a board such as this and make tasteless comments. You say you played for Dresden, I doubt it. You said you played college ball, I doubt it. You haven't been to a game in years and no one from Dresden cares for your comments. Have some guts and clue us in as to who you are. Your 15 minutes are up.

You have never been to a Dresden game, but are so quick to pass judgement. Dresden was 6-4 last year, not 4-6. And what was their record when you supposedly "played" for them 100 yrs ago?

No one from Dresden claims to have a fast back. One poster recently mentioned a powerful back and that was all. And if you do a little math, a 6-3 record comes out to only nine games. Nice try. Also, if you're from Dresden, way to go supporting your old school.

actually I think both OC & Dresden's second teams scored a couple of times.

The Dresden coaching staff does a good job with their players. They are always fundamentally sound and well prepared for each game.I was at the Westview game and heard no such comments. You may want to work on your grammar skills also. And by the way, have you ever coached? I seriously doubt it.

An Obion Co. football player was killed tragically in an automobile accident Saturday night. Keep them in your prayers.
