  1. Bolivar 86 McKenzie 51 I think. If not it was somewhere near that range.
  2. Chester County had Bolivar on edge. If the game was played anywhere else, I may go with Lexington. CC should win at home. As a Bolivar fan, I am afraid to face Chester Co. again. The last two games Bolivar won by 5 and 4 points.
  3. Bolivar prevails 59-52. Jones had 29 for the Eagles and McCuthchen(sp.) had 17. Bolivar was led by JoJuan Walker with 14. Becton had 13 and O. Kemp had 11. Bolivar held a 15 point lead in the second half and Chester closed to within 2 but missed several opportunities to tie or take the lead. Coach Peterson was in attendance at tonight's game.
  4. Bolivar wins a close one 57-54. Bolivar jumped out to a huge lead. The Tigers led 36-18 at the half. Haywood tied the score at 41 before Bolivar opened back up to a 9 point lead. W. Kemp had 20 for the Tigers and J. Walker had 19. Bolivar returns to action Tuesday night at home against Liberty.
  5. Correct score for Bolivar vs. Jackson Southside was Bolivar 60 Southside 43.
  6. Ridgeway defeated Bolivar tonight 59-49 in New Albany, MS at the Hotbed Classic. It was a shame that the organizers put two Tennessee teams together. Neither team, I feel played to their potential. Bolivar returns to action Tuesday against Jackson Southside.
  7. Bolivar defeated Fayette-Ware 71-62 (OT). Fayette-Ware led 41-26 at the half but managed only 12 points the last 2 quarters. F. Holmes led Fayette-Ware with 20 and D. Yates added 17. Bolivar was led by W. Kemp (21), B. Lake (19), and J. Walker (19).
  8. Humbolt came roaring back. Going into the fourth quarter the score was Bolivar 50 Humboldt 42. But Bolivar prevailed 80-60. Humboldt is a very good team. They are not very big but quick. Brian Lake led the Tigers with 30 points, Jojuan Walker had 23. Willie Kemp had 18 assists and O. Kemp had 10 blocks. The teams meet in Humboldt on Feb. 6.
  9. Haywood won forgot the score but it was by 14 or so.
  10. Bolivar gets a big road win at Northside 72-66. Brian Lake led the Tigers with 29 points and Willie Kemp had 17.
  11. I would like to add that Austin-East's coach is a graduate of Bolivar Central. Is Northside playing Dyer Co. in the classic.
  12. Their next two games will tell where they are with McNairy Central and Bolton on the schedule. After those games they will have a better measuring stick as to how far they have come.
  13. In what has to be one of the best rivalries in the state Bolivar defeated Southside tonight by the score of 67-63 (OT). Brian Lake had 24 for the Tigers, Becton finished with 13 and W. Kemp 11. Southside was led by Victor McGee with 20 (I think) Ellison with 14 and Chism 10. Round 2 is January 27th at Southside.
  14. I saw the score on a Kentucky newspaper website Sacred Heart 52 Shelbyville 51. Newman had 25 and Fuller 12.
  15. Moss Point defeated Bolivar this afternoon by the score of 56-55. Bolivar held for the last shot and was unsuccessful. Lake led the Tigers in scoring.
  16. Sumter County wins 61-43. I have a cousin that plays at Sumter Co. and they have been good for as long as I remember. It seems that everytime I visit they are always in the state tournament. They have one player that is being highly recruited, R. Sturdivant. I saw on a website that their tallest player is only like 6-3 but I heard they are very quick. If I can get in touch with my Sumter Co. relatives, I will ask how Giles looked.
  17. DCA defeats Fayette Academy 35-32. DCA scores with 10 seconds left.
  18. Bolivar-W. Kemp 26, J. Walker 18, B. Lake 17, O. Kemp 8, J. Beauregard 5, J. Griggs 3, K. Becton 2 The boys played a great game last night. They led much of the contest and finished the game off with two dunks by Walker and O. Kemp.
  19. White Station defeated Bolivar tonight by the score of 71-64. It was a very entertaining game. Bolivar played with them and White Station made the free throws in the end. It was Bolivar's first home loss in over three years. Bolivar plays Raleigh-Egypt Friday night at 6:30. I don't have the stats for tonight's game, but the point guard for WS is very good. Willie Kemp and Brian Lake had a good game.
  20. I don't know if the schedules have changed but what I have is: Tuesday, November 18 Bolivar Lady Tigers vs. USJ @ 5:00 Bolivar vs. White Station (Boys) @ 6:30 Haywood vs. Raleigh-Egypt (Boys) @ 8:00 The other date is Thursday, November 20 Bolivar Lady Tigers vs. JCM @ 5:00 Bolivar vs. Raleigh-Egypt (Boys) @ 6:30 Haywood vs. Liberty (Boys) @ 8:00 If things change I will post the new schedule ASAP!!!
  21. White Station and Bolivar will play each other in Bolivar on November 18 @ 6:30p.m. I'm interested in seeing how Bolivar plays them. Bolivar's home court winning streak will be on the line. The Tigers have gone over 3 plus years at home without a loss.
  22. Is Perry still the A.D. at Central? If he still is, then he may be their best coach.
  23. Congrats Giles Co. on your state championship. This is coming from a Bolivar fan. You swept the West this year. Wouldn't it be nice to compete against these teams night in and night out? I guess it was destined for you guys to win this year. Who do you guys lose this year? You have to be the favorites for next year. Again, congrats.
