Coach Beth didn't make it to the awards presentation because he was at the hospitality room getting some cheese with his WHINE. To his credit though, those things never happen in Kentucky or Marshall County. Pull the kids off the floor on a bad call in the first quarter next time.

Madi, If coach hopkins had stayed, you might not have had a team by now with the way things were going. He did a good job at basketball but poor with teaching kids character. Look at the talent that was there and how many did something with it. I think Pete is teaching those kids something more than basketball that will definitely benefit them their entire lives. Hats off to him. Also, what happened between DC and Westview the next year?

I want to add that Marlon has started about 4 games for FIU and is averaging about 15-20 minutes per game. Not bad for a true freshman.

I can't believe I even read this post, much less replied to it but here it goes anyway. Properly used, the crossover isn't a bad move, but how many of these guys can finish it, Iverson included? How many times have you seen someone cross or whatever and then CLANK! You want minutes? Learn how to hit a jumper , then see how much the crowd gets into it.

I am looking forward to seeing them again in action at the Hoopfest. I was disappointed with the team's play, not Young's, at Brownsville last year. But I am disappointed with Young now, note my user name. He is a horse and you know the best horses are located in Kentucky. There will be alot of great teams with an outstanding atmosphere up there. You guys will love the hospitality at Marshall County. Coach Woodard does an excellent job.

1-3 will be Dyersburg, Crockett, or Westview. Dyersburg is the favorite with a toss up between Crockett and Westview. 4 Gibson 5 Milan 6-7 Obion and Dyer Sherlock must be on the English cider to leave off Westview, whose been in the championship the last 4 of 5 years.

I don't know have any (at least not many) fond memories at the pit. But it was a great atmosphere and a shame they are going to tear it down. During the down year's, the pit's atmoshpere was still better than most other gyms. Are you all going to get Red Aurbach to come design the visitor's locker rooms AGAIN? The health department could have shut that place down.

It will be a very close game just like the last one. In games like this it is normally a big play or two that makes the difference. Guy and Alexander can make that big play for Westview. Milan is big and physical, but can they make the big plays? And while fan91 is speaking of humps, isn't Huntingdon a BIG road block for Milan?

I don't know if he has the 'credentials' for FB Row. At least not yet. I do believe he is working on it though. Rumor has it that his basketball IQ has jumped 100x since he resigned and will only get better in the cheap seats.

I agree. It should be an interesting matchup with Davis being from UC. But the big question is will he be playing with Trigg? Also, how does a team that talented finish with 10 losses?
