  1. Im going to be the crazy one here and go with Casey Taylor and Sevier County over Farragut tonight!
  2. I agree. He is a division I player. I have been around the high school game a long time. He is as good a hitter as I have seen in a very long time. Hes also big, athletic, and strong. He is not slow on the bases either----he tripled at Bearden and thats a small park. Someone will get a good one if they will give him a chance. He would dominate a jr college game right now and possibly D2.
  3. What a twit you are Karns Baseball! I have known Froning for years and know the program well. He is a great coach who gets more out of limited baseball talet than many of his competitors. Dont post on things that you are only hearing about second hand from some disgruntled parent of the past.
  4. Catholic threw one pitcher each inning....9 different guys.

Is the Halls Bearden game still on??? Has rained pretty good today and Halls does not use a tarp??? Anyone know?? I think Farragut will play as they use a tarp and the field drains great.
  7. Farragut and Webb both had great pitching and all around strong squads--these were the two teams that stood out above the others.
  8. Oak Ridge and Clinton are alternate sites. Clintons field takes a lot of water and OR has a full infield tarp. We'll see what unfolds on Saturday.
  9. What about the South-Doyle/Smyrna going on right now??? Anyone know anything????
  10. Even though Im not from there, I have to agree that CC's field is as nice as---or better than Farraguts---its just a heck of a long way up there.
  11. They took down the Bobcats of Central last night in the season opener. Cody Williamson had 15 K's for the Wildcats, and the ridgers had 10 hits. Things are looking up in Oak Ridge!
  12. I am a JV coach. Has to be only when the varsity season ends. Bottom line.
  13. Neat. Where is Stan living now?
  14. Sounds like your dad is just a few years older than I. Yes, Central Baseball was great back in the day. I learned a lot from Botts over my years there. The last I heard Scott was working as a GM of some minor league team.
  15. I grew up with Stan. We played Little League together at Ft. City. He was a Soph when I was a senior. And you are correct, he could flat out hit it--but I think Nipper was just as good and in HS had more power. Stan is now a Federal Flight marshal. I saw him a year or two ago and he is HUGE. Not fat, about 6'-4" and around 230 or so. I only remember him mainly as a kid in high school whre he was very aaverage sized. MADDOG
