Congrats to BGA. Dare I say that Division 2 was a tougher braket than AAA... I think so esp. when we beat Bearden earlier this season and BGA and CBHS beat us. I have been in Spring Fling for 4 years and i think this year's Division 2 bracket was the toughest i have ever seen. 7 quality teams. To CBHS, they will be back next year and i expect them to roll. They return a lot of players and BGA loses their playmakers (Wade, Bristol, and Dustin).

Well, It's Ricky Character. I man-marked him in the regional finals and if you saw any of their games everything goes through him. Their coach was always yelling at him to do something or at someone to get him the ball. He is playing at Santa Clara next year. He strained his MCL against MBA so i doubt he is playing. He didnt play against Father Ryan. He had a big black splint around his knee. We are friends and i felt bad for him since he is a senior and all. CBHS has a lot of depth though so they should be OK but i am sure they would rather have him.

Playing for MUS this season i played both teams and they are both very good. I have also played club for 7 seasons so i think i know some soccer. With that said, I give the nod to CBHS. If anyone saw our game vs. BGA we dominated for the first 15 min. Then they scored and they dominated till half. CBHS unlike us will capitalize on that. They are very good out of the gates. Granted CBHS is missing their best player. I still like their depth and hope they win. P.S. we were missing one of our best defenders against BGA so that hurt us with our lack of depth. Plus some guys were beat up and played through it. That plus BGA's easy first game was why it was soo much of a blow out when we played. With that said I don't want to take anything away from BGA, BGA was the second best team we played all year and we played some very good teams (Ridgeway, Houston, Bearden, Farragut, McMinn, CBHS, Baylor, McCallie and BGA).

I agree with that. We got outplayed badly and didnt have a good shot on goal till late in the game. I just think that at full strength we at least give them a close game and more times than not win but u say they didnt play well either and i will have to take your word for it. I really hope Mccallie wins because i cant stand F.R. but i dont see that happening.

I think you misunderstand me. We didn't play well at all and that's all our fault, but with that said we were shorthanded. Props to Mccallie for taking advantage of our lackluster play but i think Father Ryan has your number, and I will be very surprised if Mccallie wins. Also, I am not the only one connected with MUS soccer that thinks at full strength we win 8 or 9 times out of 10 against Mccallie. If that makes you think that we are jerks or something fine we will join the club because i can name at least 2 other schools in division 2 soccer who are bigger jerks and dirtier players than we are.

not really since we were without 3 starters due to injury and that bogus red card in the regional finals(2 of which are defenders and we really only have 4 good defenders) but that's the way the cookie crumbles. I am proud of my teammates and feel bad for the seniors because i think at full strength we could have gotten back to the finals. Good luck to Mccallie although i think it will be a Father Ryan win and big (aka with all of our players we more than likely would have won). I dont want to sound like a sore loser though. You guys caught a break and took advantage so congrats again; however, just kicking long balls down the field won't work against a full strength Father Ryan team.

Yeah thanks. Also against ECS in our Semifinal match the ref called a questionable PK against us. For some reason the refs around here dont like MUS. We might try and appeal the card but we arent sure if u can do that. anyone know?

As a MUS player i was wondering if anyone could tape this game for me and send it to me since we will be playing one of these 2 teams. Thanks

It was BS. One of the CBHS players went down but the ball popped out to us. One of our players played a through ball to Cody Curtis who was on a breakaway when the ref blows his whistle due to CBHS's complaining about their injured player. One of our players goes up to the ref and says "You can't do that we were on a breakaway.. etc. with no profanity" and the ref gives him a yellow. I pull the guy away after he has said "What" after the yellow and as i am helping him to the bench the ref comes after us and says "You know what he started it..." and pulls out a red card. Then instead of it being a soft red he said it was a hard red. Basically he screwed us over and let CBHS have the game. I am not one for excuses but the ref did screw us yesterday. CBHS is too good a team to be down a man and expect to win. P.S. earlier in the game one of our players went down with the ball bouncing around around the middle of the field and the ref did not blow his whistle to help our player when the player was right in front of him ane the ref waited for the ball to be kicked out.

Very good assessment. We feel that the referee took the game from us and didnt let the players determine the outcome. I dont like losing to CBHS but at least if they are going to beat us i want it to be a fair game which last night was not imo. Fouls on MUS probably 35 Fouls on CBHS probably 5

Their primary goal is to score but they must also defend sometimes.

Final Score: MUS 1 Houston 0 MUS dominated the game and it started to get ugly at the end. I am tired so if you would like to know more i am sure someone else will tell you about it.

As an MUS player i think we are underrated and should have won some of those games we tied but as Coach Beck has told us once the state tournament starts everyone is 0-0-0 and so the regular season is all about building, learning, and working stuff out so that when State comes around we will be ready. As i have said before i can see this happening with the team and hopefully we will beat Houston tonight and get some more respect. Hey, as the underdog we arent supposed to win so we play looser and consequently better(ex CBHS game).

I figure since we dont get any respect everyone will pick Houston but just you wait and see... lol. Actually i think it will be a tie. 0-0

Thanks for the support. Yuu are correct we are still a very good team and get no respect for it. I guess it doesnt matter that we are the defending state champs in Division 2 and have only lost 2 games this year early in the season. Also you are correct in that we have dominated a lot of games but just cant seem to put the ball in the back of the net. I have seen us improve over the season and think we are now hitting our stride and hopefully we will be able to prove all the doubters wrong and repeat. Thanks again for the support!!!

Luck or not we are still the State Champs. See ya in State... If you get there.... just kidding i am sure yall will be first in the middle this year because it isnt that strong this year and yall are a good team.

I am not sure you deserved the win that much. I mean maybe it should have been a draw but besides the last 5 min yall didnt have any shots on goal. Like I said we are young and have improved since then. Maybe we will be able to settle this in state.

Josh Hanke from MUS plays Def Mid and is a sophmore. He is the guy in there for us that stablizes the midfield and attacks and wins a lot of balls. If only he would shoot more but our whole team needs to do that.

CBHS 1-0 because Raji will have them ready after they tied us Tues. HE was pretty upset after the game.

We played Father Ryan early in the season and were up 2-1 with about 5 min left and they beat us 3-2. They are a decent team and will probably come out #1 in the mid but i still cant believe they beat us. We should have won that game we were just inexperienced and have improved greatky since then. I would like another shot at them.
