how easily you forget, blow oneida out, get real, you were very lucky to beat them tonite. if these two teams played 10 times it would probably be 5 to 5 or possibly 6 to 4 either way. i have seen some of the best single a teams in tenn. play this year, let me give you a piece of advice, dont make reservations to watch your team past wed. i wasnt going to get started on here about the game tonite, but when you say blow us out, that erks my hind end. we out played you three quarters to one. sure you won but there is not a nickles worth of difference between those two teams, ask the players if they thought they could blow oneida out. people like you probably never even played basketball, and if you did you probably only got to play when it was a blow out. GET A LIFE

CONGRATULATIONS TO TWO FINE TEAMS. LADY LANDERS MAKE YOUR SELF PROUD. ALSO CONGRATULATIONS TO MY DAUGHTER, BRITTANY CREECH, # 10 for a great season and career. it has been a great time watching you and your teammates past and present wear the orange and carry on the tradition of ONEIDA LADY INDIANS BASKETBALL. state bound three years in a row. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME, I LOVE YOU DAD TO TRISTIN, ALECIA, AND HEATHER, WORK HARD THIS SUMMER AND START A NEW TRADITION OF WINNING NEXT YEAR. I WILL BE THERE TO WATCH AS ALWAYS.

the lady landers may beat us by 30, 40, or 50, but this is not the same team that beat you two years ago or the team you beat by 30 last year. there is one huge difference, this team has so much HEART. the LITTLE INDIANS THAT WILL, will show up tonite and when you see them come out on the floor you will probably think a jr. high team slipped on the bus. they are very small, don't shoot the ball very well, usually get outrebounded, but they will do one thing, and that is they will get after you. they were picked to finish fifth or sixth in the dist., but have earned the right to be playing in the substate. these girls play to keep the TRADITION alive. GO LADY INDIANS WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU ALL

I GUESS THAT WAS NOT A FOUL WHEN COSBYS GIRLS TACKLED CREECH FOR AN INTENTIONAL FOUL OR THE NEXT TIME THAT WAS EVEN MORE INTENTIONAL THAN THE FIRST TIME. ALOT OF COSBYS FOULS WERE IN THE FINAL 3 MINUTES WHEN YOU WERE TRYING TO CATCH UP. COSBYS GIRLS CAME INTO THAT GAME THINKING THEY HAD A CAKEWALK. I BET YOU ASK THE COSBY GIRLS ABOUT ONEIDAS DEFENCE AND THEY WILL TELL YOU IT WAS RELENTLESS. I DONT KNOW IF THE BEST TEAM WON LAST NITE, BUT I WILL SAY THAT THE REFS DIDNT MISS SHOTS, COMMIT TURNOVERS, OR THROW BAD PASSES, OR NOT BOX OUT. GIVE ONEIDA A LITTLE CREDIT, THE LADY INDIANS PLAY HARD. I WILL SAY THIS, JULES JENKINS WAS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME LAST NIGHT, IF SHE DOESNT PLAY THAT WAY, ONEIDA BEATS YOU BY 20.

I WILL SAY THAT SUNBRIGHT, WARTBURG, AND ONEIDA PLAYERS SAW IT BEFORE IT WAS TAKEN DOWN AND THE OTHER STATEBOUND SIGN RAN THRU. DON'T KNOW WHAT MOTIVATION IT WILL PROVIDE, BUT IT WAS SEEN AND TALKED ABOUT. HARRIMAN WILL HAVE TO PLAY AT LEAST ONE, POSSIBLY TWO GAMES AGAINST THOSE TEAMS TO GET TO THE SUBSTATE. DATE WISE THE STATE IS CLOSE, BUT GAME WISE IT IS STILL SOME TIME OFF. BUT THEN AGAIN HARRIMAN MAY NOT CARE, BECAUSE THEY ARE STILL THE CLASS OF THE DIST. AND REGION.

ANY THOUGHTS OUT THERE ON THIS MATCHUP? SPLIT DURING REG. SEASON. CAN ONEIDA PULL OFF UPSET AGAIN, OR AS THE SIGNS IN THE GYM STATE, ARE HARRIMANS GIRLS STATEBOUND?

this had to be one of the most exciting games of the year. Wartburg, i felt, lost the game in the second quarter while creech and abott were on the bench with two fouls each. central should have pulled away then, but oneida kept the game at 3 pts. Diden hit some of the most pressure packed shots i have seen in a while, while creech was cool at the line. BOTH, AND I MEAN BOTH TEAMS PLAYED WITH SO MUCH HEART DOWN THE STRETCH. THERE IS NO QUIT IN EITHER ONE OF THOSE TEAMS. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS FRIDAY NITE. # 10, KEEP PLAYING HARD, LEAD BY EXAMPLE, ALL THOSE EXTRA FREE THROWS ARE PAYING OFF NOW. GO LADY INDIANS

how does everyone see the two games tonite coming out. oneida- wartburg, this could be a great game. both are playing good right now. i hope both teams play their best. hopefully oneida will pull it out, but it will be close. harriman-sunbright this has the makings to be a real good game also, but if sunbright does not control tempo and take good shots, it will be another hhs blowout. shs played with alot of energy against coalfield, and if they do that again tonite, one big word-UPSET. GOOD LUCK TO THE LADIES STILL LEFT, PLAY HARD OHS, ESPECIALLY #10 BE A DIFFERENCE MAKER

this tourney is wide open. after oneida beat harriman, i think the other teams in the dist. decided that maybe they could beat them too. i still beleive harriman is the team to beat because it is so hard to match up with LITTLE, who is so tall and athletic. i could see wartburg, coalfield, or oneida playing with harriman. i think sunbright could if they would play with some patience. i still beleive harriman will win on their home floor, but somebody could get them in the region, because they have been state bound all season long and the pressure is on them. no one else in the district was picked to do anything, and as i have said all along, if you can get to the region anything can happen. good luck to all the young ladies in the dist. and go LADY INDIANS, ESPECIALLY # 10. PLAY HARD AND GREAT THINGS WILL HAPPEN FOR YOU AND YOUR TEAM MATES.

pretty good game until halftime. shs only down by 4 at the half. shs was tied with about a minute left and took some bad shots and turned ball over, down four. if shs had been more patient and disciplined they could have really made a game of it. little and hedgecoth were terrific, with little hitting at least five threes. shs never did find her on d and she made them pay. also in the first half shs missed a lot of 5-10 ft shots. really got inside kind of easy. if shs ever learns to play with poise they could be as good as anyone. they are reallly good offensely and probably out rebounded hhs. bottom line hhs is just a better team right now, very probably best in region.

how do you all see friday nites game between harriman and oneida coming out. what do you see the keys for both to win? both are playing pretty good ball right now. hhs kicks shs and oakdale never had a pass that was not contested against oneida. can you see oneida pulling off the upset again?

harriman's girls will be fine. they have as much talent as any class a team in east tenn. at oneida they just looked unorganized in the first half, and oneida played as well as they could. the only thing oneida has on harriman is oneida is very quick and they play hard all the time. cordell did not lose his cool at oneida and never screamed or yelled. harriman will probably win the dist. which automatically puts them in the region, and then anything can happen. things are not that bad in harriman. remember, regular season doesn't mean squat, it's what happens in the region tourney.

harriman's district is not as good as last year, but i don't think class a basketball in tenn. is up this year. every time you look at scores in the paper, someone is being upset or just barely getting by some one they should beat by 20. i really beleive that in east tenn. cosby,hancock co.,unaka,cloudland,powell valley,harriman, and oneida could end up going to the state. there are also some teams like sunbright and greenback and wartburg on good nights that could beat any of the above mentioned teams (and have). i really don't beleive there is very much difference in all of these teams. whoever gets hot at tourney time. the big key is just getting to the region tourney, then ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. just ask oneida from last year. 4th in dist., 1st in region.

don't know what is wrong with Scott Co. they have some good players in the West and Nelson kids, and Chambers is a pretty good shooter. it just seems every year they have to play single A teams to get wins and then they upset one or two teams in their dist. that they should not beat.can't figure them out, and that goes for Anderson Co. also.
