  1. Henry County pulled their team off the field?
  2. Rossview was such a pretender last year. Their 15 minutes are up.
  3. This is one of the weakest districts in the state, and Millington doesn't have a chance.
  4. Wow. 7 seniors have started since they were freshmen. Add to that the players who have graduated the last few years and you have about 14-18 or so starters. It's easy to win when you play with so many players on the field at once.
  5. Yeah, there are a lot of copies of this flying around. Here's your copy: Houston out-plays and out-shoots Oak Ridge tremendously, and Oak Ridge wins in PK's. There you go.
  6. May want to lose a few pounds first. Sorry dude, but true.
  7. The top 3 or 4 Div. II schools each year are even with the top 3 or 4 Div. 1 schools. However, it drops off significantly in Div. II. If you are a good Div. II team, you almost automatically make it to the final 8. However, there are so many good Div. I schools that it is a battle to make it to the final 8 in most areas. Most talented players? By far, Div. I.
  8. That made no sense at all.
  9. District 1 or Region 1, no matter. Neither scares too many folks. DB, SH, any Sullivan school, Greeneville, any Morristown school? No worries around the state.
  10. Year-in and year-out, District 1 really isn't seen as being that competitive compared to other districts in the state. This year will be no different.
  11. If he signs with Vandy he will be the only player on the team next year.
  12. I'm sure a lot of players wished they played Millington.
  13. "German kid Patrick Simon#26" . . . written by german26 german26, any chance you know Patrick Simon? He's kind of a small guy (5'8, 133) but very quick.
  14. Somewhere in that sentence was the phrase "2 best forwards in Shelby County" This guy must be excited about this season to write that phrase.
  15. I have some friends who are preparing for the season by asking funny questions on CoachT.
  16. it's B-R-U-I-N-S-O-C-C-E-R my friend. One S in bruinsoccer Brentwood did lose 3-0 to Collierville. Good memory. Remember this score? Brentwood 3, Siegel 0
  17. 4 seconds flat? Wow. That's one screwed up stopwatch.
  18. Siegel? Please... They weren't that close last year. They won't be much better next year. Centennial played better without Fisher. That tells you something. They graduated the heart of that team. Oak Ridge? Their schedule will allow them to go something like 19-3 and make it back to the state tournament, but they won't know how to finish it off. (Their player WAS better than Fisher when they played.) Check out their district competition. They won't be a threat. Which leads to the next comment. . . For 10 straight years, the state champion in AAA (some of those years there was only one classification. . . splitting was the best thing to happen to Baylor) has been either from the Brentwood/Franklin district or the Houston/Germantown/Collierville district. That's 10 STRAIGHT years. (And 11 of 12). And everybody knows it, but they can't stop it. These teams know how to win against the best. The teams that advance from those areas have earned it. An extra week would only help these coaches. These teams defend against other great teams game-in and game-out. Beating district teams by scores of 11-0 and 9-1 doesn't happen too much for them. Some of the teams that "crap out" at the end really aren't that good to begin with. (Beech? Ooltewah? Smyrna? SMYRNA??? Shelbyville?) How can they "crap out"? The others just didn't get prepared to win during the season. This past season, Houston was PK's away from both finalists being from the same district. That's a lot of other teams "crapping out". An extra week won't help. Some teams want you to believe that they are good (look at who does the most talking on here). Others spend all season preparing to prove it to you when it counts.
  19. Apparently, middle tennessee middle schools aren't teaching punctuation these days. I think Rudy should be one of Vincent's picks this week.
  20. Again, Collierville, at best, was the 3rd or 4th best AAA team. Good enough to beat some teams, but not good enough to win them all. Div. II and AAA were basically even this year.
  21. The statistic that said that the top 8 Div. II schools had a 31-6-3 record vs. AAA schools shows that you can make statistics say anything you want. This is why that statistic is garbage: You've included only the top Div. II teams and their games against EVERY AAA team on their schedule. Some of those 31 wins came vs. Bradley County, Franklin County, and Rossview. This is a better comparison. The final 8 Div. II schools vs. the final 8 AAA schools: The record: 4-4-1. Division II was good at the top, but it was top-heavy. There weren't any good Division II teams that didn't make the final 8. On the other hand, there were several upsets in AAA that kept some good teams from making the state tournament. If you were a good Div. II team, you had a cake-walk to the final 8. The AAA teams that advanced had to survive some tough matches. Pope John Paul didn't play any team that made the final 8 in AAA. Runner-up Baylor played 3 teams that made the final 8 in AAA (1-1-1), with the loss against state champion Collierville, who everyone agrees was probably the 3rd or 4th best AAA team at best. The fact is, there wasn't much of a difference between Div. II and AAA this season.
  22. She no longer plays for Georgia. Hasn't all season.
  23. "now a starter at Georgia"? check Georgia's roster, dude.
  24. Bye, Bye Baylor? Pretty bold words from a Hutchison fan. Remind me again about Hutchison's long soccer tradition and all of their accomplishments over the years. . . . . . times up. That's what I thought!
  25. What time and where is the Centennial/Brentwood game tonight? The loser of this game probably has to travel to Hendersonville for the sectionals.
