Hoolie nailed it right there, personally I thought that our only competition was Brentwood at state... And I knew for sure that we were better than Brentwood... We all knew that DB was pretty good since they made the state final in 05, but they lost their top player... I had no clue that Bearden was even a school until Taylor Patrick and Hunter Maltsberger showed up at MTSU the night before we were going to play our tri-match... It was a wake up call for our whole team, and was one of the biggest reasons we took home the title in 06. I truly am looking forward to a rematch with Bearden, you have a good argument and have a 1-0 record against us...

All I have to say is good luck, I hope that you (Bearden) can back up all of your talk and maybe we will see you guys at state this year.

Marroonnation... If you spent half the time you spend typing crap on here as you did on the tennis court you might actually be the ones with state rings... And thanks for giving us a little extra motivation

The top three schools in this order are: Bearden, Siegel, Science Hill Tennessee High is the next in line, but its a big step down from those three, West TN has a few decent teams but they don't have alot of depth.

You guys started cheering in the 4th quarter when yall were up 15+. The only thing yall did was say airball when Cutter got the ball. Then you guys were told to sit down for some reason, what was up with that?

Thats why I said "match points against him"... and you might want to say 40-15 instead of 15-40, because he was up... so that was basically a pointless post.

Too bad for Will Magee, getting kicked off the premesis in the state finals. I bet you guys aren't too sorry to see him go.

Bo Seal beats William Lang in a third set tie-breaker, not sure of the score... but Lang had match points against him at 5-3 in the third and brought it to a breaker.

Can't say that I was all that impressed with their play either, but when Siegel girls couldn't really make them play its hard to really see how good they are. I do think it will be much closer than usckk does.

Ian Chadwell beat Chris Williams 1,4 Bo and William are in a 3rd set, Bo is up 2-0.

Chris definitely isnt more powerful. Chris is smooth, and has a very consistant forehand with heavy topspin, but has a terrible second serve. Ian is very smooth, hits flatter groundies with less margin, and has a much stronger backhand. Ian didn't serve great today, atleast I was expecting a bigger serve, but I still would give him the edge in the serve column, on his serve today. Chris Williams might be able to fight and take a set, but Ian has played in many more big matches than Chris has, and he will come up with the goods when he needs them.

Well yeah, Webb would win AAA, but its not like I'm saying Siegel would win A-AA, and I'm not on here bashing A-AA teams, saying that their competition is terrible. DII should be a lot better, since most tennis players come from families with more money and can afford to go to private schools, so there is no love lost there. Who cares if you would win AAA, yall are probly the 4th best team in DII so just stink it up and work during the summer, and maybe next year you can beat those teams.

Baylor will win. MUS and McCallie are about even, and MBA is several steps down from the others.

I really cant believe the outcome of that Science Hill Bearden matchup, I was pretty confident that Bearden would come away with that one. Does anyone know who won out of west TN?

After the Regions finals it looks like state for AAA singles will be Chris Smith vs KC Griffin Chris Williams vs Andrew Solarski William Disterdick vs Ryan Spencer Kyle Wishing vs ???? Region 6 hasn't reported their scores yet, but I think it should be Krikorian there.

Right now, Brentwood and Siegel are locks for state. The Science Hill vs Bearden matchup is a toss-up, but who will be the fourth team from the West?

michael wills can win for MUS at #5....don't know about Addington but hard to count out the team who has won the state title 7 of the last 8 years. Thats like counting UCLA out in basketball in the 70's...

could be wrong but I think top 2 from each region go to state.
