Region 1 has a tough quarterfinal matchup vs. Brentwood's Blackshear and Coley. Winner plays a Siegel team...most likely

I know Maltsberger/Patrick are. The two Siegel teams play for a berth to state tomorrow Blackshear/Coley from Brentwood are playing. Who is playing from Science Hill or Region 1?

full strength is hard to say because our #3 from last year (who we probably should have put at #2) has never gotten back healthy since last year and is at #5 right now. Then our doubles would probably change and none of us are comfortable with our #2 doubles of Edwards and Wishing. Also hard to say because of how even 2-5 can be at full strength I'll take a guess at it although this is not how it will be at state. Kyle Wishing Braeden Verble (he is now at #5 because of injuries) Chris Hale (#2 because nobody challenges him) Casey Edwards (plays solid) James Hayes (can be very imposing with his game and has beaten 2-4 when playing good) Doubles Wishing/ Verble Edwards/ Hayes again that is everyone healthy and playing up to speed. You could change almost anyone in 2-5.

I love it when people try to compare scores and predict a winner based on that heres one for ya Maltsberger has lost to Steven Coley and Robert Koehler the last times they have played. Kyle wishing has never lost to those two. Does this mean that Kyle should never lose to Maltsberger? Good game.

We lost 4-2 to Brentwood with our current #5 losing a 3 setter to Steven Coley to decide the match. We win that match at #3 and I believe we would have but didn't work out that way.

is Hunter playing singles?

Our #5 has broken his wrist had surgery on it after it was healed from the break and just recently got cortisone injections on that wrist. He has played a total of 3 1/2 months since last May. He also didn't play Rahnema anywhere near full strength so we could use that excuse if we wanted to....but considering those two wont be playing since that is our #5 player its a moot point. And yes I think David Parks can beat Kyle but not badly but Kyle can also beat him.

I was referring to MaroonNations comment about him winning state...notice I named only those in AAA? and btw last time Wishing and Lang played it went 3 sets with Lang winning 10-8 in a tie breaker and the last time with Davis was 5,4 and with Bo it was something like 4,2. So "kill" isn't the best word to use.

I wouldn't say clearly better. Siegel just made 2 big mental and fundamental mistakes in the bottom of the 6th and thats all it took to open the flood gates. For the 3rd game...Siegel was up on Riverdale at least half way through the game.

How soon we forget...that statement would apply if we forgot that Siegel's #4 beat Mackebee...not something that happened over a year ago. A result from a month ago has greater relevance than a result from a year ago does. And also, I believe you have played our #5 and lost to him...so he said when discussing yalls lineup last year at Carter. You couldn't possibly be talking about Tadd hatcher could u?

Siegel 4 Oakland 0 Neil Robinson, the freshman phenom, pitches a complete game shutout to eliminate rival Oakland. Doesn't get much better than that.

who cares if they were classless? if you beat them thats all that matters. I'm sick of everyone worrying about whose classless or not. Its competition. If you go to a big time college match you will think every one of them is classless.
