Not seen much other than the jamboree, I’d give NG a slight edge, but hard to make a true assessment of either team from just a jamboree.

Cyclones defense looked much quicker than West Ridge, think they had 6 sacks. Offense looked pretty quick too. Cyclones look to have a good duo at running back one being more power the other more speed. Threw the ball decently imo, but some mistakes from both the QB and receivers from what I saw, but nothing alarming either way.

Losing our starting RB will hamper much of any offense I’m afraid. He was pretty much all the returning production we had. Will be interesting to see what they do. Bennet has stuck to the pass pretty heavily. I’m sure we don’t stretch the field as much as we did with Ramsey at QB, but I would expect him to still call a lot of quick passing plays. If we can’t execute those, it’s going to be a rough year.

Unaka has kinda flip flopped last year to this. Last year we had the skill positions and the line was the question mark. This year, we’ve got size and experience on the line and all the skill positions are new. The best returning player we had on offense had to have surgery after an injury. I would put Cloudland as the favorite until proven otherwise and I’d put NG ahead of us right now as well.

That stinks if true, but sadly not surprising. Not sure how much longer all the county schools will last up here with the way numbers are dwindling.

I think they win that game for sure with him. Hats off to the rest of the team and coaches, played well while missing a key piece in a situation that could have been really distracting for the team.

Myers Park 2022 Arby’s Classic Champions. I love how the Strong kid plays for them, definitely will have to follow him when he gets to college.

Loser of game 12 (top of the bracket on the loser side) always goes to the consolation with the winner of game 7. Don’t know how they decided that, but that’s how they set it up.

First session today has had some good matchups. Trinity played with West a little more than I thought they would. Pace and St Francis was good. MRA has kind of been sleep walking to their 8 point lead over Greeneville at half. No disrespect to the devils, though. MRA doesn’t step up and Greeneville gets hot it could cause them some issues.

He’s been complaining for awhile. Christ School was starting to just dribble it out and Pace player basically just swiped hard across the arms of the Christ player dribbling , no attempt at a play on the ball. Refs called a flagrant. As refs are talking to the scorers table he steps up and screams BS! Refs didn’t catch it so he screams it again louder at them and they T him up.

Pace Academy’s coach doesn’t have much to complain about. They let his team get away with a lot in the first half. Personally I’d of tossed him for that outburst.

Tabernacle looks like they’re gonna break the losing streak. GC definitely could have been replaced, would have rather seen Hampton or Unicoi.

West Catholic and Madison-Ridgeland has been great so far.

I know one thing, they need some better facility management here right now. Going anywhere near the entrance or the concessions is just a disaster. Need to be ushering people along who are just standing around and talking in the walkways.

Webb blew that open quick in the second half. Shots started falling and didn’t stop falling.

Fun first half in game 2. Tabernacle playing at their usual high pace, but a bit more fundamental and skill than years past. Webb looks solid, some good looks didn’t drop, could be up by about 10 instead of 4.

Days of McClung felt like a distant memory in that one. Christ Schools first 5 are good, bench drops off some. Will see if that hurts them as advance.

Not sure, there are a few less this year. TN High looks good, but they drew Norcross. Owens and Lane from Twins Springs are fun to watch, but not sure they have anything around them. Idk about Gate City this year. Oliver still hurt for DB? I was wanting to see him, but not sure he’s healthy. Greeneville won’t be at the same level as last year.

She’s not committed. She had an offer from ETSU, before the coaching change. Coach from Campbell University was in to see her and think wanted her to visit campus, but idk if there was an offer. UVA-Wise seems like they really have her as a priority. Illinois-Springfield offered her. Several other NAIA and D2 offers I believe outside of those mentioned.
