The praise will be more deserved when you figure out a way to get it right...the intentions are good but we know where intentions get us...so pardon me for only respecting your intentions....this post has only been edited for the best interest of a kid. First of all I had nothing to do with the selection but when you are picking All-Stars somebody deserving of it many times are left out. It is hard to get them all. Secondly, again from my observations, yes their intentions are good along with their good deeds.

From my observations this organization was started to promote interest in sport of Girl's Softball by recognizing players & teams, grant money for scholarships, conduct the MTSCA tournament to give all teams a fair opportunity to compete at their level, pick All-Stars from each division and let them play each other in a round robin, then select a group from these players to represent Tennessee against the Kentucky All-Stars. A lot of work and time volunteered by a group that probably gets little if any pay. Why do we want to have negative remarks about a group that is trying to promote Girl's Sports? Instead of running their decisions down we should be praising them for the efforts they put into it!!!

It could be that no players from Forrest were even submitted. I feel pretty certain that Stinnett and Curtis would be on there if their names had been submitted. Any school can join. For some reason some choose not to!

Didn't they play in the Silver Division in the MTSCA Tournament instead of the Gold?

Sounds like a great game that came down to who got the break at the right time.

Summertown, Columbia Academy, Cornersville, Forrest, AND East Robertson are in the same region, meaning only TWO can go. Yes they are all great teams, no doubt, but only two of those five can go to Murfreesboro... Cornersville is a very good team even without Fagan!

Summertown wins Championship Game 7 to 5 with a 3 run walkoff homerun by Karlie Harville. Summertown hosts Cornersville Monday at 6:00 in Regional.

Tuesday's games have been moved to Wednesday.

10.Summertown—the hippies are good and have the hittin to prove it and don’t give up many runs! Harville is one hittin machine as well as Kayla Long so folks if you want to see a good hittin team watch this bunch! This may be a small school but the coaches get the most of it this little school! The hippies live in Lewis County. Summertown is in Lawrence County!

They have actually split the last 4 seasons. Should be a good one!

They also lost to FCS 5 to 0, Come on Noitall are you drinking AGAIN.... They were not at full strength for the FCS game. A few of their key starters were missing.

8.Forrest—Coach Becky is doin her thing and that is winnin and a winnin. The schools with the “Lights on the Tracks” are now playin the best ball of anyone in their county. At one time I thought that they may be a little down but she is showin me that she still has it. Now the problem of all of this is that only two schools can go to selectionals and someone will have to be a loser. Now who will it be? Creek Wood? Goodpasture? Camden? Marshall County? all of these teams ain’t bad but they all can’t make it so stay tune to see who will make it to the “Boro” As long as they have Shelby Stinnett on the mound they will be hard to beat.

9. Cornersville---I believe that they will be ok against teams that are their size. I hear so any coaches say about these smaller schools are not as good as the bigger schools….well guess what coaches they don’t have the same numbers as you do and they can still play with most AAA teams in the Mid-state. So hats off to these A schools who are not afraid to play the AAA schools in tournaments! Some single A schools have been competing with good AA & AAA schools for 20 years or more. Some people need to get their head out of the sand and face reality. True it shouldn"t happen but in several cases it does!
