Thanks JodyJoe. A foul that should have been attributed to # 1 Joe Jackson was given to #11 on White Station who was checking in and not on the floor at the time of the called foul. A few minutes later with 3 minutes left, Joe picks up his 4th foul I wasn't there so I don't know what really happened or not, but the guys on the radio were pretty fired up about it. Like adsmom said, who knows how it would have turned out if he was out, but I know it would have been a better outcome for DC if they sank the FTs.

Random question. What happened at the end of the White Station and Ridgeway game? The guys on the radio kept talking about it and I wasn't sure what happened.

Who has seen both of these teams play this year and, if you have, what is your opinion on the game? I have only seen LA play once, but it was against Upperman at Upperman so I don't think that would be a fair game to judge their team.

I have never been so nervous. Even when I am not there this team about gives me a heart attack. Congratulations DC and good luck against Covington. Also, thanks for the updates man. I am on a cruise ship in Mexico and without you I would be a nervous wreck.

I was wondering where the scoring was for CPA. The score was 17-13 at halftime with Z having 11 points and #23 having the other 6 I think. Really good game though. I would like to see these two teams play again when CPA is at full strength and Anderson is back. I was going to say that last year's team was much better, but since I have only seen one game and that game they were missing a key player I would not give a fair assessment. For DL, they played really hard and a couple of their guys stepped up there in the 4th when I thought CPA was about to run away with it. Also, their student section is nuts. I liked the costumes especially with the gold suits, the whoopie cushion, and the gorillas chasing the bananna. However, I was pretty worried for them when they ran through the CPA cheerleaders and when they tried to start the slow clap by the CPA section.

Humboldt is playing out of the top district in A. An SEC caliber district. Manassas plays tough schools in Memphis, but they are the only team in the district with a winning record. If they are in a BCS conference, it is like USC in the PAC-10.

What time does the game start? I didn't know if the girls would start playing at 6 or 630. I am living in Nashville and was wondering if there are any other good games going on tonight? I have been wanting to see CPA play and David Lipscomb seems to be pretty good based on schedule + strength rankings. Are there any better match-ups tonight or is this my best bet?

I know this was titled District 13-AA, but what about their region? How will Haywood and Covington fare next year?

Couldn't agree with you more. He left it all on the floor. Kept his composure the whole time and played the last two games on a bum ankle. I hope nothing but the best for him in the future. He should go far.

Amen. Is there really anything that can be done? I am sure the TSSAA can look over the tape and apologize to CPA for the call. Of course, that is not going to change the outcome. It will be good motivation for a CPA team that I am sure we will all be talking about again this time next year. Good luck to CPA and congratulations on a wonderful year. The game was the most exciting game I have seen since the Hamilton/Shelbyville game for the AAA state championship that went into 3 OTs. Hope that the rest of the tournament is that exciting. Fulton and DC will be a good game to watch. DC needs to bring their A-game though. Fulton put the mercy rule on LA and was lights out shooting. Fulton doesn't have a player like "Z" down low though(not many people do), but still have a pretty decent size guy working in the paint.

Yea they were in the state tournament......5 years ago. No one on that team is still around. The seniors on this team went to sectionals their freshmen year, but haven't been past regionals the previous two. Teams like Dyer Co and Mitchell played in the semi finals and finals last year and I think the Mitchell players have won two silver balls the past two years. Thats what they meant by more experience.

I missed that. Nevertheless, that was over a month ago. Even though they were good enough that time, they won't be good enough this time. However, I am kind of hoping for the upset. But then again if both BTW and Mitchell lost, it would be very weird watching the state tournament without a Memphis team in the mix.

Mitchell over Haywood (Haywood is good, but not "very likely to beat Mitchell in Memphis" good) Dyer Co. over BTW (BTW has lost 3 of the last 6 games and barely beating teams that they beat by 30 earlier in the year. Still going to the be the best substate game in regard of talent and quality of players in game) Bolivar over Giles Co.(West Tennessee bias and quality of competition for Bolivar greater) CPA over Creek Wood(If CW couldn't hang with Bolivar, they ain't going to hang with CPA) Austin East over Unico. Co(No good reason except for the fact that Austin East makes it to state every year) LA over McMinn(Just because) Howard over White House(They look better on paper. Not really a good reason but still a reason) Fulton over Rutledge(Kinda hard not to go with the team that just beat AE like they stole something)

Couldn't agree with you more. If you don't want to get beat bad, go practice some more and do something about it. Also, the substate will be the Monday March 3rd. However like Beavo5 said, whether it be in Newbern or not is still undecided.

What is this "winning tradition"? I am not seeing it.

I was wondering how these District tournaments are playing out. I know some of the scores are missing on the schedules and the Commercial Appeal didn't help me much. Thanks.

Fisk played at Lipscomb. Not sure if he is playing now although he did try out for some semi-pro clubs.
