Can anyone post a list of the teams that will be competing in this years tournament?

I'm not sure where you came up with this info but Ridenour beat Howerton in their semifinal match 10-8 (I'm 90% sure that was the score) with a takedown in overtime. Kole had a good semifinal match also, defeating the wrestler from Ga. by a score somewhere around 7-4. It was Ridenour that Kole lost to in the finals 6-0. (That I'm 99.999% sure of)

You nailed it Seth. Ridenour wins the finals matchup 6-0.

Bishop (145) and Ridenour (140), both placed 3rd at state last year going 6-1 each. They both lost their second match and both came all the way back through the consolation bracket. On paper it should be the match up of the tournament. Actually, Science Hill and Walker Valley were tied at 160.50 and SH won the coin flip to take second place. Walker Valley was officially third.

He's helping out in the wrestling room and was asked to sit on the bench last week. I guess you can call it an unofficial coaching position. He won't be at South Monday, he's going to be helping at practice with the guys not wrestling tomorrow.

It was good to see Brad Robbins coaching in the corner of MW this weekend as well as Bo Usary coaching on the bench last week for SH. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I said back in mid Oct. that Herold would be tough this year. He looked strong this weekend.

Wrestlers were not allowed to wear headgear with tape on them this past weekend at the tournament in Hendersonville NC. They said it was a new rule this year. Is this a new rule in TN as well?

Boone, 'Betsy, G'ville, Tn High and W. Greene were the other teams at Crockett. I would say year in and year out 103 has the highest rate of forfeits but with that said, I would think most teams will have a 3 pounder. Your coach should have a good idea what both lineups look like the day before a match.

The "King" kid has more state medals than anyone else curently wrestling in region one. Good person too. I know it's Goldstein's goal to get to 3 and he looks to me like he has the weight to drop. Hey, I'm no expert on the subject but he looked healthy enough to cut one more weight class to me. If you are a coach or parent, I mean no disrespect to you. Like I said, It's what I was told by Kole.

When and where will this match up take place? It should be a good one. Is there a possibility they could be matched against each other this weekend at Crockett? There are a few teams I would like to watch in action this weekend. Jeff Co., Crockett and Elizabethton all wrestled well from what I saw last weekend. What time will the wrestling start this weekend at DC. Any combination of Greeneville, Science Hill and Dobyns Bennett has been worth the price of admission for at least the past eight years.
